We study the structure of longest sequences in $\mathbb{Z}{ₙ}^d$ which have no zero-sum subsequence of length n (or less). We prove, among other results, that for $n=2^a$ and d arbitrary, or $n=3^a$ and d = 3, every sequence of c(n,d)(n-1) elements in $\mathbb{Z}{ₙ}^d$ which has no zero-sum subsequence of length n consists of c(n,d) distinct elements each appearing n-1 times, where $c(2^a,d)=2^d$ and $c(3^a,3)=9$.

This paper is concerned with the isomorphic structure of the Banach space ${\ell }_{\infty }/c₀$ and how it depends on combinatorial tools whose existence is consistent with but not provable from the usual axioms of ZFC. Our main global result is that it is consistent that ${\ell }_{\infty }/c₀$ does not have an orthogonal ${\ell }_{\infty }$-decomposition, that is, it is not of the form ${\ell }_{\infty }\left(X\right)$ for any Banach space X. For Banach spaces $X$ and $Y$, let $K_{w^{*}}(X^{*},Y)$ denote the space of all $w^{*}-w$ continuous compact operators from $X^{*}$ to $Y$ endowed with the operator norm. A Banach space $X$ has the $wGP$ property if every Grothendieck subset of $X$ is relatively weakly compact. In this paper we study Banach spaces with property $wGP$. We investigate whether the spaces $K_{w^{*}}(X^{*},Y)$ and $X{\otimes }_{ϵ}Y$ have the $wGP$ property, when $X$ and $Y$ have the $wGP$ property.

For an integer $k\ge 2$, let ${\left(n\right)}_n$ be the $k-$generalized Pell sequence which starts with $0,...,0,1$ ($k$ terms) and each term afterwards is given by the linear recurrence $n=2n-1+n-2+\cdots +n-k$. In this paper, we find all $k$-generalized Pell numbers with only one distinct digit (the so-called repdigits). Let $\left\{U_n\right\}=\left\{U_n(P,Q)\right\}$ and $\left\{V_n\right\}=\left\{V_n(P,Q)\right\}$ be the Lucas sequences of the first and second kind respectively at the parameters $P\ge 1$ and $Q\in \{-1,1\}$. In this paper, we provide a technique for characterizing the solutions of the so-called Bartz-Marlewski equation $$x^2-3xy+y^2+x=0,$$ where $(x,y)=(U_i,U_j)$ or $(V_i,V_j)$ with $i$, $j\ge 1$. Then, the procedure of this technique is applied to completely resolve this equation with certain values of such parameters.

A natural number $n$ is said to be a $(k,r)$-integer if $n=a^{k}b$, where $k>r>1$ and $b$ is not divisible by the $r$th power of any prime. We study the distribution of such $(k,r)$-integers in the Piatetski-Shapiro sequence $\left\{\lfloor n^c\rfloor \right\}$ with $c>1$. As a corollary, we also obtain similar results for semi-$r$-free integers.

In this paper, we define the direct sum ${\left({⨁}_{i=1}^n{X}_i\right)}_{ce{s}_p}$ of Banach spaces X₁,X₂,..., and Xₙ and consider it equipped with the Cesàro p-norm when 1 ≤ p < ∞. We show that ${\left({⨁}_{i=1}^n{X}_i\right)}_{ce{s}_p}$ has the H-property if and only if each $X_i$ has the H-property, and ${\left({⨁}_{i=1}^n{X}_i\right)}_{ce{s}_p}$ has the Schur property if and only if each $X_i$ has the Schur property. Moreover, we also show that ${\left({⨁}_{i=1}^n{X}_i\right)}_{ce{s}_p}$ is rotund if and only if each $X_i$ is rotund.

This paper is devoted to the study of a class of left-continuous uninorms locally internal in the region $A\left(e\right)$ and the residual implications derived from them. By using the concepts of limited $p$-converging operators between two Banach spaces $X$ and $Y$, $L_p$-sets and $L_p$-limited sets in Banach spaces, we obtain some characterizations of these concepts relative to some well-known geometric properties of Banach spaces, such as $*$-Dunford–Pettis property of order $p$ and Pelczyński’s property of order $p$, $1\le p<\infty$.

We prove that if $X$ is a first countable space with property $\left(DC\left({\omega }_1\right)\right)$ and with a $G_{\delta }$-diagonal then the cardinality of $X$ is at most $𝔠$. We also show that if $X$ is a first countable, DCCC, normal space then the extent of $X$ is at most $𝔠$.
