We introduce the definition of $p$-limited completely continuous operators, $1\le p<\infty$. The question of whether a space of operators has the property that every $p$-limited subset is relative compact when the dual of the domain and the codomain have this property is studied using $p$-limited completely continuous evaluation operators.

Results of Emmanuele and Drewnowski are used to study the containment of c₀ in the space $K_{w*}(X*,Y)$, as well as the complementation of the space $K_{w*}(X*,Y)$ of w*-w compact operators in the space $L_{w*}(X*,Y)$ of w*-w operators from X* to Y.

Motivated by some recent results by Li and Stević, in this paper we prove that a two-parameter family of Cesàro averaging operators ${}^{b,c}$ is bounded on the Dirichlet spaces ${}_{p,a}$. We also give a short and direct proof of boundedness of ${}^{b,c}$ on the Hardy space $H^p$ for 1 < p < ∞.

For $A,B\in L\left(H\right)$, the generalized derivation ${\delta }_{A,B}$ and the elementary operator ${\Delta }_{A,B}$ are defined by ${\delta }_{A,B}\left(X\right)=AX-XB$ and ${\Delta }_{A,B}\left(X\right)=AXB-X$ for all $X\in L\left(H\right)$. In this paper, we obtain new sufficient conditions for the operators $F_{{\alpha }_1,{\alpha }_2,...,{\alpha }_n,\beta }\left(z\right)$ and $G_{{\alpha }_1,{\alpha }_2,...,{\alpha }_n,\beta }\left(z\right)$ to be univalent in the open unit disc $𝒰$, where the functions $f_1,f_2,...,f_n$ belong to the classes $S^{*}(a,b)$ and $𝒦(a,b)$. The order of convexity for the operators $F_{{\alpha }_1,{\alpha }_2,...,{\alpha }_n,\beta }\left(z\right)$ and $G_{{\alpha }_1,{\alpha }_2,...,{\alpha }_n,\beta }\left(z\right)$ is also determined. Furthermore, and for $\beta =1$, we obtain sufficient conditions for the operators $F_n\left(z\right)$ and $G_n\left(z\right)$ to be in the class $𝒦(a,b)$. Several corollaries and consequences of the main results are also considered.

We study the space of p-compact operators, ${}_p$, using the theory of tensor norms and operator ideals. We prove that ${}_p$ is associated to $/d_p$, the left injective associate of the Chevet-Saphar tensor norm $d_p$ (which is equal to $g_{p^{\text{'}}}^{\text{'}}$). We show that for a linear space of operators $ℳ\subseteq ℬ({\mathscr{H}}_1,{\mathscr{H}}_2)$ the following assertions are equivalent. (i) $ℳ$ is reflexive in the sense of Loginov-Shulman. We study the stability of a-Browder-type theorems for orthogonal direct sums of operators. We give counterexamples which show that in general the properties $\left(\mathrm{SBaw}\right)$, $\left(\mathrm{SBab}\right)$, $\left(\mathrm{SBw}\right)$ and $\left(\mathrm{SBb}\right)$ are not preserved under direct sums of operators. However, we prove that if $S$ and $T$ are bounded linear operators acting on Banach spaces and having the property $\left(\mathrm{SBab}\right)$, then $S\oplus T$ has the property $\left(\mathrm{SBab}\right)$ if and only if ${\sigma }_{{\mathrm{SBF}}_{+}^{-}}(S\oplus T)={\sigma }_{{\mathrm{SBF}}_{+}^{-}}\left(S\right)\cup {\sigma }_{{\mathrm{SBF}}_{+}^{-}}\left(T\right)$, where ${\sigma }_{{\mathrm{SBF}}_{+}^{-}}\left(T\right)$ is the upper semi-B-Weyl spectrum of $T$. The following results are proved: (i) if $\alpha$, $\beta \in {ℝ}^{+}$ and $A$ is a sectorial operator, then the set $\{t^{\alpha }{A}^{\beta }(t+A);t>0\}$ is bounded; (ii) the same set of operators is R-bounded if $A$ is R-sectorial.

The aim of this paper is to characterize the $L^p-L^q$ boundedness of two classes of integral operators from $L^p(𝒰,\mathrm{d}{V}_{\alpha })$ to $L^q(𝒰,\mathrm{d}{V}_{\beta })$ in terms of the parameters $a$, $b$, $c$, $p$, $q$ and $\alpha$, $\beta$, where $𝒰$ is the Siegel upper half-space.
