Global solvability criteria for quaternionic Riccati equations

G.A. Grigorian (2021)

Archivum Mathematicum

Some global existence criteria for quaternionic Riccati equations are established. Two of them are used to prove a completely non conjugation theorem for solutions of linear systems of ordinary differential equations.

Mathematical Modelling of Cancer Stem Cells Population Behavior

E. Beretta, V. Capasso, N. Morozova (2012)

Mathematical Modelling of Natural Phenomena

Recent discovery of cancer stem cells in tumorigenic tissues has raised many questions about their nature, origin, function and their behavior in cell culture. Most of current experiments reporting a dynamics of cancer stem cell populations in culture show the eventual stability of the percentages of these cell populations in the whole population of cancer cells, independently of the starting conditions. In this paper we propose a mathematical model...

Modifying some foliated dynamical systems to guide their trajectories to specified sub-manifolds

Prabhakar G. Vaidya, Swarnali Majumder (2011)

Mathematica Bohemica

We show that dynamical systems in inverse problems are sometimes foliated if the embedding dimension is greater than the dimension of the manifold on which the system resides. Under this condition, we end up reaching different leaves of the foliation if we start from different initial conditions. For some of these cases we have found a method by which we can asymptotically guide the system to a specific leaf even if we start from an initial condition which corresponds to some other leaf. We demonstrate...
