Taylorian points of an algebraic curve and bivariate Hermite interpolation

We introduce and study the notion of Taylorian points of algebraic curves in 2 , which enables us to define intrinsic Taylor interpolation polynomials on curves. These polynomials in turn lead to the construction of a well-behaved Hermitian scheme on curves, of which we give several examples. We show that such Hermitian schemes can be collected to obtain Hermitian bivariate polynomial interpolation schemes.

The class of convolution operators on the Marcinkiewicz spaces

Let 𝒯 X denote the operator-norm closure of the class of convolution operators Φ μ : X X where X is a suitable function space on R . Let r p be the closed subspace of regular functions in the Marinkiewicz space p , 1 p < . We show that the space 𝒯 r p is isometrically isomorphic to 𝒯 L p and that strong operator sequential convergence and norm convergence in 𝒯 r p coincide. We also obtain some results concerning convolution operators under the Wiener transformation. These are to improve a Tauberian theorem of Wiener on 2 .

The density condition and the strong dual density condition by operator.

The aim of the present article is to introduce and investigate topological properties by operator. We obtain good stability properties for the density condition and the strong dual density condition by taking injective tensor products. Further we analyze the connection to (DF)-properties by operator.

In this paper we modify a construction due to J. Taskinen to get a Fréchet space F which satisfies the density condition such that the complete injective tensor product l2 x~eF'b does not satisfy the strong dual density condition of Bierstedt and Bonet. In this way a question that remained open in Heinrichs (1997) is solved.

The symmetric tensor product of a direct sum of locally convex spaces

An explicit representation of the n-fold symmetric tensor product (equipped with a natural topology τ such as the projective, injective or inductive one) of the finite direct sum of locally convex spaces is presented. The formula for τ , s n ( F 1 F 2 ) gives a direct proof of a recent result of Díaz and Dineen (and generalizes it to other topologies τ) that the n-fold projective symmetric and the n-fold projective “full” tensor product of a locally convex space E are isomorphic if E is isomorphic to its square E 2 .

Topological tensor products of a Fréchet-Schwartz space and a Banach space

We exhibit examples of countable injective inductive limits E of Banach spaces with compact linking maps (i.e. (DFS)-spaces) such that E ε X is not an inductive limit of normed spaces for some Banach space X. This solves in the negative open questions of Bierstedt, Meise and Hollstein. As a consequence we obtain Fréchet-Schwartz spaces F and Banach spaces X such that the problem of topologies of Grothendieck has a negative answer for F π X .
