On weak sequential convergence in JB*-triple duals

Leslie J. Bunce, Antonio M. Peralta (2004)

Studia Mathematica

We study various Banach space properties of the dual space E* of a homogeneous Banach space (alias, a JB*-triple) E. For example, if all primitive M-ideals of E are maximal, we show that E* has the Alternative Dunford-Pettis property (respectively, the Kadec-Klee property) if and only if all biholomorphic automorphisms of the open unit ball of E are sequentially weakly continuous (respectively, weakly continuous). Those E for which E* has the weak* Kadec-Klee property are characterised by a compactness...

On weak topology of Orlicz spaces.

Shutao Chen, Huiying Sun (1993)

Collectanea Mathematica

This paper presents some properties of singular functionals on Orlicz spaces, from which criteria for weak convergence and weak compactness in such spaces are obtained.

On weighted composition operators acting between weighted Bergman spaces of infinite order and weighted Bloch type spaces

Elke Wolf (2011)

Annales Polonici Mathematici

Let ϕ: → and ψ: → ℂ be analytic maps. They induce a weighted composition operator ψ C ϕ acting between weighted Bergman spaces of infinite order and weighted Bloch type spaces. Under some assumptions on the weights we give a characterization for such an operator to be bounded in terms of the weights involved as well as the functions ψ and ϕ

On weighted inductive limits of non-Archimedean spaces of continuous functions

A. K. Katsaras, V. Benekas (2000)

Bollettino dell'Unione Matematica Italiana

Si studiano alcune proprietà di un certo limite induttivo di spazi non-archimedei di funzioni continue. In particolare, si esamina la completezza di questo limite induttivo e si indaga il problema di quando lo spazio coincide con il proprio inviluppo proiettivo.

On weighted James' spaces.

M. Angeles Miñarro (1996)

Collectanea Mathematica

In this note we study the topological structure of weighted James spaces J(h). In particular we prove that J(h) is isomorphic to J if and only if the weight h is bounded. We also provide a description of J(h) if the weight is a non-decreasing sequence.

On weighted spaces of functions harmonic in n

Albert I. Petrosyan (2006)

Commentationes Mathematicae Universitatis Carolinae

The paper establishes integral representation formulas in arbitrarily wide Banach spaces b ω p ( n ) of functions harmonic in the whole n .
