The nonlinear dissipative wave equation $u_{tt}-\Delta u+{\left|u_t\right|}^{h-1}{u}_t=0$ in dimension $d\>1$ has strong solutions with the following structure. In $0\le t\<1$ the solutions have a focusing wave of singularity on the incoming light cone $\left|x\right|=1-t$. In $\{t\ge 1\}$ that is after the focusing time, they are smoother than they were in $\{0\le t\<1\}$. The examples are radial and piecewise smooth in $\{0\le t\<1\}$

Let $\Omega \subset {ℂ}^n$ be a bounded, simply connected $ℂ$-convex domain. Let $\alpha \in {\mathbb{Z}}_{+}^n$ and let $f$ be a function on $\Omega$ which is separately $C^{2{\alpha }_j-1}$-smooth with respect to $z_j$ (by which we mean jointly $C^{2{\alpha }_j-1}$-smooth with respect to $\mathrm{Re}{z}_j$, $\mathrm{Im}{z}_j$). In this paper we prove the following theorems in incidence geometry. 1. Let ${ℱ}_h^i(k,n)$ be the $i$-th ordered configuration space of all distinct points $H_1,...,H_h$ in the Grassmannian $Gr(k,n)$ of $k$-dimensional subspaces of ${ℂ}^n$, whose sum is a subspace of dimension $i$. We prove that ${ℱ}_h^i(k,n)$ is (when non empty) a complex submanifold of $Gr{(k,n)}^h$ of dimension $i(n-i)+hk(i-k)$ and its fundamental group is trivial if $i=min(n,hk)$, $hk\ne n$ and $n\&gt;2$ and equal to the braid group of the sphere $ℂ$ $P^1$ if $n=2$. Eventually we compute the fundamental group in the special case of hyperplane arrangements, i.e. $k=n-1$.

Let ${\mathrm{𝙴𝙼𝙱𝙴𝙳}}_{k\to d}$ be the following algorithmic problem: Given a finite simplicial complex $K$ of dimension at most $k$, does there exist a (piecewise linear) embedding of $K$ into ${ℝ}^d$? For a finite Coxeter group $W$ and a Coxeter element $c$ of $W$; the $c$-Cambrian fan is a coarsening of the fan defined by the reflecting hyperplanes of $W$. We prove that any $A$-covelocity $T_x^{A}f\in T_x^{A*}M$, $x\in M$ is determined by its values over arbitrary $max\{\mathrm{width}A,m\}$ regular and under the first jet projection linearly independent elements of $T_x^{A}M$.
