Given a coarse space $(X,ℰ)$ with the bornology $ℬ$ of bounded subsets, we extend the coarse structure $ℰ$ from $X\times X$ to the natural coarse structure on $(ℬ\setminus \{\varnothing \left\}\right)\times (ℬ\setminus \{\varnothing \left\}\right)$ and say that a macro-uniform mapping $f:(ℬ\setminus \{\varnothing \left\}\right)\to X$ (or $f:{\left[X\right]}^2\to X$) is a selector (or 2-selector) of $(X,ℰ)$ if $f\left(A\right)\in A$ for each $A\in ℬ\setminus \left\{\varnothing \right\}$ ($A\in {\left[X\right]}^2$, respectively). We prove that a discrete coarse space $(X,ℰ)$ admits a selector if and only if $(X,ℰ)$ admits a 2-selector if and only if there exists a linear order “$\le$" on $X$ such that the family of intervals $\left\{\right[a,b]:a,b\in X,a\le b\}$ is a base for the bornology $ℬ$.

The aim of this paper is to show that for every Banach space $(X,\parallel ·\parallel )$ containing asymptotically isometric copy of the space $c_0$ there is a bounded, closed and convex set $C\subset X$ with the Chebyshev radius $r\left(C\right)=1$ such that for every $k\ge 1$ there exists a $k$-contractive mapping $T:C\to C$ with $\parallel x-Tx\parallel >1-1/k$ for any $x\in C$.

We show that any ${\Sigma }_s$-product of at most $𝔠$-many $L\Sigma (\le \omega )$-spaces has the $L\Sigma (\le \omega )$-property. This result generalizes some known results about $L\Sigma (\le \omega )$-spaces. Let $L_c\left(X\right)=\{f\in C\left(X\right):\overline{C_f}=X\}$, where $C_f$ is the union of all open subsets $U\subseteq X$ such that $\left|f\left(U\right)\right|\le {\aleph }_0$. In this paper, we present a pointfree topology version of $L_c\left(X\right)$, named ${ℛ}_{\ell c}\left(L\right)$. We observe that ${ℛ}_{\ell c}\left(L\right)$ enjoys most of the important properties shared by $ℛ\left(L\right)$ and ${ℛ}_c\left(L\right)$, where ${ℛ}_c\left(L\right)$ is the pointfree version of all continuous functions of $C\left(X\right)$ with countable image. The interrelation between $ℛ\left(L\right)$, ${ℛ}_{\ell c}\left(L\right)$, and ${ℛ}_c\left(L\right)$ is examined. We show that $L_c\left(X\right)\cong {ℛ}_{\ell c}\left(𝔒\left(X\right)\right)$ for any space $X$. Frames $L$ for which ${ℛ}_{\ell c}\left(L\right)=ℛ\left(L\right)$ are characterized.
