Monotone iterative technique for first-order nonlinear periodic boundary value problems on time scales.
Second order nonlinear delay differential equations are considered, and Krasnosel'skiĭ's fixed point theorem is used to establish a result on the existence of positive solutions of a boundary value problem on the half-line. This result can be used to guarantee the existence of multiple positive solutions. A specification of the result obtained to the case of second order nonlinear ordinary differential equations as well as to a particular case of second order nonlinear delay differential equations...
We study the existence of positive solutions to the singular boundary value problem for a second-order FDE ⎧ u'' + q(t) f(t,u(w(t))) = 0, for almost all 0 < t < 1, ⎨ u(t) = ξ(t), a ≤ t ≤ 0, ⎩ u(t) = η(t), 1 ≤ t ≤ b, where q(t) may be singular at t = 0 and t = 1, f(t,u) may be superlinear at u = ∞ and singular at u = 0.
The four natural boundary problems for the weighted form Laplacians acting on polynomial differential forms in the -dimensional Euclidean ball are solved explicitly. Moreover, an algebraic algorithm for generating a solution from the boundary data is given in each case.
This paper is a continuation of Y. Liu, Anti-periodic solutions of nonlinear first order impulsive functional differential equations, Math. Slovaca 62 (2012), 695–720. By using Schaefer's fixed point theorem, new existence results on anti-periodic solutions of a class of nonlinear impulsive functional differential equations are established. The techniques to get the priori estimates of the possible solutions of the mentioned equations are different from those used in known papers. An example is...
Applying the topological transversality method of Granas and the a priori bounds technique we prove some existence results for systems of differential inclusions of the form y'' ∈ F(t,y,y'), where F is a Carathéodory multifunction and y satisfies some nonlinear boundary conditions.
This article is concerned with a boundary value problem on the half-line for nonlinear two-dimensional delay differential systems. By the use of the Schauder-Tikhonov theorem, a result on the existence of solutions is obtained. Also, via the Banach contraction principle, another result concerning the existence and uniqueness of solutions is established. Moreover, these results are applied to the special case of ordinary differential systems and to a certain class of delay differential systems. Furthermore,...
