Exact Solutions of Nonlocal BVPs for the Multidimensional Heat Equations

Dimovski, Ivan, Tsankov, Yulian (2012)

Mathematica Balkanica New Series

MSC 2010: 44A35, 44A45, 44A40, 35K20, 35K05In this paper a method for obtaining exact solutions of the multidimensional heat equations with nonlocal boundary value conditions in a finite space domain with time-nonlocal initial condition is developed. One half of the space conditions are local, and the other are nonlocal. Extensions of Duhamel principle are obtained. In the case when the initial value condition is a local one i.e. of the form u(x1; :::; xn; 0) = f(x1; :::; xn) the problem reduces...

Families of differential forms on complex spaces

Vincenzo Ancona, Bernard Gaveau (2003)

Annali della Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa - Classe di Scienze

On every reduced complex space X we construct a family of complexes of soft sheaves Λ X ; each of them is a resolution of the constant sheaf X and induces the ordinary De Rham complex of differential forms on a dense open analytic subset of X . The construction is functorial (in a suitable sense). Moreover each of the above complexes can fully describe the mixed Hodge structure of Deligne on a compact algebraic variety.

First kind integral equations for the numerical solution of the plane Dirichlet problem

Søren Christiansen (1989)

Aplikace matematiky

We present, in a uniform manner, several integral equations of the first kind for the solution of the two-dimensional interior Dirichlet boundary value problem. We apply a general numerical collocation method to the various equations, and thereby we compare the various integral equations, and recommend two of them. We give a survey of the various numerical methods, and present a simple method for the numerical solution of the recommended integral equations.

Generalized combined field integral equations for the iterative solution of the three-dimensional Helmholtz equation

Xavier Antoine, Marion Darbas (2007)

ESAIM: Mathematical Modelling and Numerical Analysis

This paper addresses the derivation of new second-kind Fredholm combined field integral equations for the Krylov iterative solution of tridimensional acoustic scattering problems by a smooth closed surface. These integral equations need the introduction of suitable tangential square-root operators to regularize the formulations. Existence and uniqueness occur for these formulations. They can be interpreted as generalizations of the well-known Brakhage-Werner [A. Brakhage and P. Werner, Arch....
