Existence of quasilinear relaxation shock profiles in systems with characteristic velocities

We revisit the existence problem for shock profiles in quasilinear relaxation systems in the case that the velocity is a characteristic mode, implying that the profile ODE is degenerate. Our result states existence, with sharp rates of decay and distance from the Chapman–Enskog approximation, of small-amplitude quasilinear relaxation shocks. Mathematical Modelling of Natural Phenomena

In this work we study a nonlocal reaction-diffusion equation arising in population dynamics. The integral term in the nonlinearity describes nonlocal stimulation of reproduction. We prove existence of travelling wave solutions by the Leray-Schauder method using topological degree for Fredholm and proper operators and special a priori estimates of solutions in weighted Hölder spaces.

We provide a general series form solution for second-order linear PDE system with constant coefficients and prove a convergence theorem. The equations of three dimensional elastic equilibrium are solved as an example. Another convergence theorem is proved for this particular system. We also consider a possibility to represent solutions in a finite form as partial sums of the series with terms depending on several complex variables.

MSC 2010: 44A35, 35L20, 35J05, 35J25In this paper are found explicit solutions of four nonlocal boundary value problems for Laplace, heat and wave equations, with Bitsadze-Samarskii constraints based on non-classical one-dimensional convolutions. In fact, each explicit solution may be considered as a way for effective summation of a solution in the form of nonharmonic Fourier sine-expansion. Each explicit solution, may be used for numerical calculation of the solutions too.

Exponential-type Nagumo norms and summability of formal solutions of singular partial differential equations

In this paper, we study a class of first order nonlinear degenerate partial differential equations with singularity at ( t , x ) = ( 0 , 0 ) C 2 . Using exponential-type Nagumo norm approach, the Gevrey asymptotic analysis is extended to case of holomorphic parameters in a natural way. A sharp condition is then established to deduce the k -summability of the formal solutions. Furthermore, analytical solutions in conical domains are found for each type of these nonlinear singular PDEs.

Families of differential forms on complex spaces

On every reduced complex space X we construct a family of complexes of soft sheaves Λ X ; each of them is a resolution of the constant sheaf X and induces the ordinary De Rham complex of differential forms on a dense open analytic subset of X . The construction is functorial (in a suitable sense). Moreover each of the above complexes can fully describe the mixed Hodge structure of Deligne on a compact algebraic variety.

Ferromagnetic integrals, correlations and maximum principles

For correlations of the form (0.2) we consider a critical case and prove power decay upper bounds in terms of the fundamental solution of a certain elliptic operator. This is achieved by improving the use of a maximum principle. We also formulate a general maximum principle and give two applications.
