Incompressible Maxwell-Boussinesq approximation: Existence, uniqueness and shape sensitivity
In this paper we prove an estimate for the measure of superlevel sets of weak solutions to quasilinear elliptic systems in divergence form. In some special cases, such an estimate allows us to improve on the integrability of the solution.
The paper deals with very weak solutions , , to boundary value problems of the -harmonic equation We show that, under the assumption , , any very weak solution to the boundary value problem () is integrable with provided that is sufficiently close to .
In this paper we consider weak solutions to the equations of stationary motion of a fluid with shear dependent viscosity in a bounded domain ( or ). For the critical case we prove the higher integrability of which forms the basis for applying the method of differences in order to get fractional differentiability of . From this we show the existence of second order weak derivatives of .
In this paper, we consider the global existence, uniqueness and estimates of weak solutions to quasilinear parabolic equation of -Laplacian type in with zero Dirichlet boundary condition in . Further, we obtain the estimate of the solution and for with the initial data
We study the multiplicity of solutions for a class of p(x)-Laplacian equations involving the critical exponent. Under suitable assumptions, we obtain a sequence of radially symmetric solutions associated with a sequence of positive energies going toward infinity.
Our main purpose is to establish the existence of weak solutions of second order quasilinear elliptic systems ⎧ , x ∈ Ω, ⎨ , x ∈ Ω, ⎩ u = v = 0, x∈ ∂Ω, where 1 < q < p < N and is an open bounded smooth domain. Here λ₁, λ₂, μ ≥ 0 and (i = 1,2) are sign-changing functions, where , , and denotes the p-Laplace operator. We use variational methods.
This paper is mainly concerned with a class of optimal control problems of systems governed by the nonlinear dynamic systems on time scales. Introducing the reasonable weak solution of nonlinear dynamic systems, the existence of the weak solution for the nonlinear dynamic systems on time scales and its properties are presented. Discussing L1-strong-weak lower semicontinuity of integral functional, we give sufficient conditions for the existence of optimal controls. Using integration by parts formula...

We investigate the behavior of weak solutions to the nonlocal Robin problem for linear elliptic divergence second order equations in a neighborhood of a boundary corner point. We find an exponent of the solution's decreasing rate under minimal assumptions on the problem coefficients.
In this article, we study the existence of nontrivial weak solutions for the following boundary value problem: where is a bounded domain with smooth boundary in , for some , is a subelliptic linear operator of the type where satisfies certain homogeneity conditions and degenerates at the coordinate hyperplanes and the nonlinearity is of subcritical growth and does not satisfy the Ambrosetti-Rabinowitz (AR) condition.
We first outline the procedure of averaging the incompressible Navier-Stokes equations when the flow is turbulent for various type of filters. We introduce the turbulence model called Bardina’s model, for which we are able to prove existence and uniqueness of a distributional solution. In order to reconstruct some of the flow frequencies that are underestimated by Bardina’s model, we next introduce the approximate deconvolution model (ADM). We prove existence and uniqueness of a “regular weak solution”...
