Inductive limits of vector-valued sequence spaces.

José Bonet, Susanne Dierolf, Carmen Fernández (1989)

Publicacions Matemàtiques

Let L be a normal Banach sequence space such that every element in L is the limit of its sections and let E = ind En be a separated inductive limit of the locally convex spaces. Then ind L(En) is a topological subspace of L(E).

Integral operators and weighted amalgams

C. Carton-Lebrun, H. Heinig, S. Hofmann (1994)

Studia Mathematica

For large classes of indices, we characterize the weights u, v for which the Hardy operator is bounded from q ̅ ( L v p ̅ ) into q ( L u p ) . For more general operators of Hardy type, norm inequalities are proved which extend to weighted amalgams known estimates in weighted L p -spaces. Amalgams of the form q ( L w p ) , 1 < p,q < ∞ , q ≠ p, w A p , are also considered and sufficient conditions for the boundedness of the Hardy-Littlewood maximal operator and local maximal operator in these spaces are obtained.

Interpolation of real method spaces via some ideals of operators

Mieczysław Mastyło, Mario Milman (1999)

Studia Mathematica

Certain operator ideals are used to study interpolation of operators between spaces generated by the real method. Using orbital equivalence a new reiteration formula is proved for certain real interpolation spaces generated by ordered pairs of Banach lattices of the form ( X , L ( w ) ) . As an application we extend Ovchinnikov’s interpolation theorem from the context of classical Lions-Peetre spaces to a larger class of real interpolation spaces. A description of certain abstract J-method spaces is also presented....

Isometric imbeddings of Euclidean spaces into finite dimensional l p -spaces

Hermann König (1995)

Banach Center Publications

It is shown that l 2 n imbeds isometrically into l 4 n 2 + 1 provided that n is a prime power plus one, in the complex case. This and similar imbeddings are constructed using elementary techniques from number theory, combinatorics and coding theory. The imbeddings are related to existence of certain cubature formulas in numerical analysis.

Isomorphism of certain weak L p spaces

Denny Leung (1993)

Studia Mathematica

It is shown that the weak L p spaces p , , L p , [ 0 , 1 ] , and L p , [ 0 , ) are isomorphic as Banach spaces.
