On some three-point problems for third-order differential equations

This paper is concerned with existence and uniqueness of solutions of the three-point problem u ' ' ' = f ( t , u , u ' , u ' ' ) , u ( c ) = 0 , u ' ( a ) = u ' ( b ) . u ' ' ( a ) = u ' ' ( b ) , a c b . The problem is at resonance, in the sense that the associated linear problem has non-trivial solutions. We use the method of lower and upper solutions.

On some topological methods in theory of neutral type operator differential inclusions with applications to control systems

We consider a neutral type operator differential inclusion and apply the topological degree theory for condensing multivalued maps to justify the question of existence of its periodic solution. By using the averaging method, we apply the abstract result to an inclusion with a small parameter. As example, we consider a delay control system with the distributed control.

On spectral problems of discrete Schrödinger operators

A special type of Jacobi matrices, discrete Schrödinger operators, is found to play an important role in quantum physics. In this paper, we show that given the spectrum of a discrete Schrödinger operator and the spectrum of the operator obtained by deleting the first row and the first column of it can determine the discrete Schrödinger operator uniquely, even though one eigenvalue of the latter is missing. On Stability in Impulsive Dynamical Systems

Several results on stability in impulsive dynamical systems are proved. The first main result gives equivalent conditions for stability of a compact set. In particular, a generalization of Ura's theorem to the case of impulsive systems is shown. The second main theorem says that under some additional assumptions every component of a stable set is stable. Also, several examples indicating possible complicated phenomena in impulsive systems are presented.

On stability of linear neutral differential equations with variable delays

We present a review of known stability tests and new explicit exponential stability conditions for the linear scalar neutral equation with two delays x ˙ ( t ) - a ( t ) x ˙ ( g ( t ) ) + b ( t ) x ( h ( t ) ) = 0 , where | a ( t ) | < 1 , b ( t ) 0 , h ( t ) t , g ( t ) t , and for its generalizations, including equations with more than two delays, integro-differential equations and equations with a distributed delay.
