Characterization of the mapping properties such as boundedness, compactness, measure of non-compactness and estimates of the approximation numbers of Hardy-type integral operators in Banach function spaces are given.
In this paper we introduce and investigate a Henstock-Kurzweil-type integral for Riesz-space-valued functions defined on (not necessarily bounded) subintervals of the extended real line. We prove some basic properties, among them the fact that our integral contains under suitable hypothesis the generalized Riemann integral and that every simple function which vanishes outside of a set of finite Lebesgue measure is integrable according to our definition, and in this case our integral coincides with...
In this paper, we define the direct sum of Banach spaces X₁,X₂,..., and Xₙ and consider it equipped with the Cesàro p-norm when 1 ≤ p < ∞. We show that has the H-property if and only if each has the H-property, and has the Schur property if and only if each has the Schur property. Moreover, we also show that is rotund if and only if each is rotund.
In this paper, we generalize the classical Hausdorff metric with t-norms and obtain its basic properties. Furthermore, for a given stationary fuzzy metric space with a t-norm without zero divisors, we propose a method for constructing a generalized Hausdorff fuzzy metric on the set of the nonempty bounded closed subsets. Finally we discuss several important properties as completeness, completion and precompactness.
In this note we obtainsome strong barrelledness properties concerning the simple function space generated by the hereditary ring Z of a11 subsets of density zero of N.
Let X be a completely regular topological space and A a commutative locally m-convex algebra. We give a description of all closed and in particular closed maximal ideals of the algebra C(X,A) (= all continuous A-valued functions defined on X). The topology on C(X,A) is defined by a certain family of seminorms. The compact-open topology of C(X,A) is a special case of this topology.
We give some equivalent conditions (independent from the Young functions) for inclusions between some classes of spaces, where is a Young function and is a quasi-Banach function space on a -finite measure space .
The incomplete Gamma function and its associated functions and are defined as locally summable functions on the real line and some convolutions and neutrix convolutions of these functions and the functions and are then found.
We consider a class of nonlocal operators associated with a compact Lie group G acting on a smooth manifold. A notion of symbol of such operators is introduced and an index formula for elliptic elements is obtained. The symbol in this situation is an element of a noncommutative algebra (crossed product by G) and to obtain an index formula, we define the Chern character for this algebra in the framework of noncommutative geometry.
