On invariant functions and ergodic measures of Markov operators on C(X)
We prove that if Köthe F-spaces X and Y on finite atomless measure spaces (ΩX; ΣX, µX) and (ΩY; ΣY; µY), respectively, with absolute continuous norms are isomorphic and have the property (for µ = µX and µ = µY, respectively) then the measure spaces (ΩX; ΣX; µX) and (ΩY; ΣY; µY) are isomorphic, up to some positive multiples. This theorem extends a result of A. Plichko and M. Popov concerning isomorphic classification of L p(µ)-spaces for 0 < p < 1. We also provide a new class of F-spaces...
For the convolution operators with symbols , 0 ≤ Re α < n, , we construct integral representations and give the exact description of the set of pairs (1/p,1/q) for which the operators are bounded from to .
It is proved that a Musielak-Orlicz space LΦ of real valued functions which is isometric to a Hilbert space coincides with L2 up to a weight, that is Φ(u,t) = c(t) u2. Moreover it is shown that any surjective isometry between LΦ and L∞ is a weighted composition operator and a criterion for LΦ to be isometric to L∞ is presented.
It is known that there is a continuous linear functional on L ∞ which is not narrow. On the other hand, every order-to-norm continuous AM-compact operator from L ∞(μ) to a Banach space is narrow. We study order-to-norm continuous operators acting from L ∞(μ) with a finite atomless measure μ to a Banach space. One of our main results asserts that every order-to-norm continuous operator from L ∞(μ) to c 0(Γ) is narrow while not every such an operator is AM-compact.
We prove that the self-commutator of a Toeplitz operator with unbounded analytic rational symbol has a dense domain in both the Bergman space and the Hardy space of the unit disc. This is a basic step towards establishing whether the self-commutator has a compact or trace-class extension.
We give necessary and sufficient conditions on the weights v and w such that the differentiation operator D: Hv(Ω) → Hw(Ω) between two weighted spaces of holomorphic functions is bounded and onto. Here Ω = ℂ or Ω = 𝔻. In particular we characterize all weights v such that D: Hv(Ω) → Hw(Ω) is bounded and onto where w(r) = v(r)(1-r) if Ω = 𝔻 and w = v if Ω = ℂ. This leads to a new description of normal weights.
We describe the geometric structure of the -characteristic of fractional powers of bounded or compact linear operators over domains with arbitrary measure. The description builds essentially on the Riesz-Thorin and Marcinkiewicz-Stein-Weiss- Ovchinnikov interpolation theorems, as well as on the Krasnosel’skij-Krejn factorization theorem.
Denote by F the composition operator generated by a given function f: R --> R, acting on the space of absolutely continuous functions. In this paper we prove that the composition operator F maps the space AC[a,b] into itself if and only if f satisfies a local Lipschitz condition on R.
