Let $X\subset {\mathbb{P}}^n$ be an integral and non-degenerate $m$-dimensional variety defined over $ℝ$. For any $P\in {\mathbb{P}}^n\left(ℝ\right)$ the real $X$-rank $r_{X,ℝ}\left(P\right)$ is the minimal cardinality of $S\subset X\left(ℝ\right)$ such that $P\in \langle S\rangle$. Here we extend to the real case an upper bound for the $X$-rank due to Landsberg and Teitler.

Let $R$ be a commutative ring, $M$ an $R$-module and $G$ a group of $R$-automorphisms of $M$, usually with some sort of rank restriction on $G$. We study the transfer of hypotheses between $M/C_M\left(G\right)$ and $[M,G]$ such as Noetherian or having finite composition length. A monomial self-map $f$ on a complex toric variety is said to be $k$-stable if the action induced on the $2k$-cohomology is compatible with iteration. We show that under suitable conditions on the eigenvalues of the matrix of exponents of $f$, we can find a toric model with at worst quotient singularities where $f$ is $k$-stable. The moduli space of rank-$n$ commutative algebras equipped with an ordered basis is an affine scheme ${𝔅}_n$ of finite type over $\mathbb{Z}$, with geometrically connected fibers. We prove that for a normed linear space $X$, if $f_1:X\to ℝ$ is continuous and semiconvex with modulus $\omega$, $f_2:X\to ℝ$ is continuous and semiconcave with modulus $\omega$ and $f_1\le f_2$, then there exists $f\in C^{1,\omega }\left(X\right)$ such that $f_1\le f\le f_2$. Using this result we prove a generalization of Ilmanen lemma (which deals with the case $\omega \left(t\right)=t$) to the case of an arbitrary nontrivial modulus $\omega$. This generalization (where a $C_{loc}^{1,\omega }$ function is inserted) gives a positive answer to a problem formulated by A. Fathi and M. Zavidovique in 2010.

For Banach spaces $X$ and $Y$, let $K_{w^{*}}(X^{*},Y)$ denote the space of all $w^{*}-w$ continuous compact operators from $X^{*}$ to $Y$ endowed with the operator norm. A Banach space $X$ has the $wGP$ property if every Grothendieck subset of $X$ is relatively weakly compact. In this paper we study Banach spaces with property $wGP$. We investigate whether the spaces $K_{w^{*}}(X^{*},Y)$ and $X{\otimes }_{ϵ}Y$ have the $wGP$ property, when $X$ and $Y$ have the $wGP$ property.

Given a Tychonoff space $X$ and an infinite cardinal $\kappa$, we prove that exponential $\kappa$-domination in $X$ is equivalent to exponential $\kappa$-cofinality of $C_p\left(X\right)$. Following a suggestion of W.M. Schmidt and L. Summerer, we construct a proper $3$-system $(P_1,P_2,P_3)$ with the property ${\overline{\varphi }}_3=1$. In fact, our method generalizes to provide $n$-systems with ${\overline{\varphi }}_n=1$, for arbitrary $n\ge 3$. We visualize our constructions with graphics. We further present explicit examples of numbers ${\xi }_1,...,{\xi }_{n-1}$ that induce the $n$-systems in question.
