Let $𝒳$ be a Banach space of dimension $n>1$ and $𝔄\subset ℬ\left(𝒳\right)$ be a standard operator algebra. In the present paper it is shown that if a mapping $d:𝔄\to 𝔄$ (not necessarily linear) satisfies $$d\left(\right[[U,V],W\left]\right)=\left[\right[d\left(U\right),V],W]+\left[\right[U,d\left(V\right)],W]+\left[\right[U,V],d(W\left)\right]$$ for all $U,V,W\in 𝔄$, then $d=\psi +\tau$, where $\psi$ is an additive derivation of $𝔄$ and $\tau :𝔄\to 𝔽I$ vanishes at second commutator $\left[\right[U,V],W]$ for all $U,V,W\in 𝔄$. Moreover, if $d$ is linear and satisfies the above relation, then there exists an operator $S\in 𝔄$ and a linear mapping $\tau$ from $𝔄$ into $𝔽I$ satisfying $\tau \left(\right[[U,V],W\left]\right)=0$ for all $U,V,W\in 𝔄$, such that $d\left(U\right)=SU-US+\tau \left(U\right)$ for all $U\in 𝔄$.

Let $ℛ$ be a semiprime ring with unity $e$ and $\phi$, $\varphi$ be automorphisms of $ℛ$. In this paper it is shown that if $ℛ$ satisfies $$2𝒟\left(x^n\right)=𝒟\left(x^{n-1}\right)\phi \left(x\right)+\varphi \left(x^{n-1}\right)𝒟\left(x\right)+𝒟\left(x\right)\phi \left(x^{n-1}\right)+\varphi \left(x\right)𝒟\left(x^{n-1}\right)$$ for all $x\in ℛ$ and some fixed integer $n\ge 2$, then $𝒟$ is an ($\phi$, $\varphi$)-derivation. Let $L\left(H\right)$ denote the algebra of all bounded linear operators on a complex infinite dimensional Hilbert space $H$. For $A,B\in L\left(H\right)$, the generalized derivation ${\delta }_{A,B}$ and the multiplication operator $M_{A,B}$ are defined on $L\left(H\right)$ by ${\delta }_{A,B}\left(X\right)=AX-XB$ and $M_{A,B}\left(X\right)=AXB$. In this paper, we give a characterization of bounded operators $A$ and $B$ such that the range of $M_{A,B}$ is closed. We present some sufficient conditions for ${\delta }_{A,B}$ to have closed range. Some related results are also given.

Let $R$ be a prime ring with center $Z\left(R\right)$ and $I$ a nonzero right ideal of $R$. Suppose that $R$ admits a generalized reverse derivation $(F,d)$ such that $d\left(Z\right(R\left)\right)\ne 0$. In the present paper, we shall prove that if one of the following conditions holds: (i) $F\left(xy\right)\pm xy\in Z\left(R\right)$, (ii) $F\left(\right[x,y\left]\right)\pm \left[F\right(x),y]\in Z\left(R\right)$, (iii) $F\left(\right[x,y\left]\right)\pm \left[F\right(x),F(y\left)\right]\in Z\left(R\right)$, (iv) $F(x\circ y)\pm F\left(x\right)\circ F\left(y\right)\in Z\left(R\right)$, (v) $\left[F\right(x),y]\pm [x,F(y\left)\right]\in Z\left(R\right)$, (vi) $F\left(x\right)\circ y\pm x\circ F\left(y\right)\in Z\left(R\right)$ for all $x,y\in I$, then $R$ is commutative.

We consider problem (P) of Kirchhoff-Carrier type with nonlinear terms containing a finite number of unknown values $u({\eta }_1,t),\cdots ,u({\eta }_q,t)$ with $0\le {\eta }_1<{\eta }_2<\cdots <{\eta }_q<1.$ By applying the linearization method together with the Faedo-Galerkin method and the weak compact method, we first prove the existence and uniqueness of a local weak solution of problem (P). We show that any ${\Sigma }_s$-product of at most $𝔠$-many $L\Sigma (\le \omega )$-spaces has the $L\Sigma (\le \omega )$-property. This result generalizes some known results about $L\Sigma (\le \omega )$-spaces. On the other hand, we prove that every ${\Sigma }_s$-product of monotonically monolithic spaces is monotonically monolithic, and in a similar form, we show that every ${\Sigma }_s$-product of Collins-Roscoe spaces has the Collins-Roscoe property.
