On subdirect decomposition and varieties of some rings with involution.
Let be a noncommutative prime ring equipped with an involution ‘’, and let be the maximal symmetric ring of quotients of . Consider the additive maps and . We prove the following under some inevitable torsion restrictions. (a) If and are fixed positive integers such that for all and for all , then . (b) If for all , then . Furthermore, we characterize Jordan left -centralizers in semiprime rings admitting an anti-automorphism . As applications, we find the structure of...
The notions of a preordering and an ordering of a ring R with involution are investigated. An algebraic condition for the existence of an ordering of R is given. Also, a condition for enlarging an ordering of R to an overring is given. As for the case of a field, any preordering of R can be extended to some ordering. Finally, we investigate the class of archimedean ordered rings with involution.
The main purpose of the present paper is to study representations of BiHom-Hopf algebras. We first introduce the notion of BiHom-Hopf algebras, and then discuss BiHom-type modules, Yetter-Dinfeld modules and Drinfeld doubles with parameters. We get some new -monoidal categories via the category of BiHom-(co)modules and the category of BiHom-Yetter-Drinfeld modules. Finally, we obtain a center construction type theorem on BiHom-Hopf algebras.
The concept of a Prüfer ring is studied in the case of rings with involution such that it coincides with the corresponding notion in the case of commutative rings.
We introduce the notion of a relative hermitian Morita context between torsion triples and we show how these induce equivalences between suitable quotient categories of left and right modules.Due to the lack of involutive bimodules, the induced Morita equivalences are not necessarily hermitian, however.
