T -equivalences generated by shape function on the real line

Dug Hun Hong (2003)

Kybernetika

This paper is devoted to give a new method of generating T-equivalence using shape function and finding the exact calculation formulas of T-equivalence induced by shape function on the real line. Some illustrative examples are given.

Tauberian theorems for statistically (C,1,1) summable double sequences of fuzzy numbers

Zerrin Önder, İbrahim Çanak, Ümit Totur (2017)

Open Mathematics

In this paper, we prove that a bounded double sequence of fuzzy numbers which is statistically convergent is also statistically (C, 1, 1) summable to the same number. We construct an example that the converse of this statement is not true in general. We obtain that the statistically (C, 1, 1) summable double sequence of fuzzy numbers is convergent and statistically convergent to the same number under the slowly oscillating and statistically slowly oscillating conditions in certain senses, respectively....

The 123 theorem of Probability Theory and Copositive Matrices

Alexander Kovačec, Miguel M. R. Moreira, David P. Martins (2014)

Special Matrices

Alon and Yuster give for independent identically distributed real or vector valued random variables X, Y combinatorially proved estimates of the form Prob(∥X − Y∥ ≤ b) ≤ c Prob(∥X − Y∥ ≤ a). We derive these using copositive matrices instead. By the same method we also give estimates for the real valued case, involving X + Y and X − Y, due to Siegmund-Schultze and von Weizsäcker as generalized by Dong, Li and Li. Furthermore, we formulate a version of the above inequalities as an integral inequality...

The Affine Frame in p -adic Analysis

Ming Gen Cui, Huan Min Yao, Huan Ping Liu (2003)

Annales mathématiques Blaise Pascal

In this paper, we will introduce the concept of affine frame in wavelet analysis to the field of p -adic number, hence provide new mathematic tools for application of p -adic analysis.

The ap-Denjoy and ap-Henstock integrals

Jae Myung Park, Jae Jung Oh, Chun-Gil Park, Deuk Ho Lee (2007)

Czechoslovak Mathematical Journal

In this paper we define the ap-Denjoy integral and show that the ap-Denjoy integral is equivalent to the ap-Henstock integral and the integrals are equal.

The AP-Denjoy and AP-Henstock integrals revisited

Valentin A. Skvortsov, Piotr Sworowski (2012)

Czechoslovak Mathematical Journal

The note is related to a recently published paper J. M. Park, J. J. Oh, C.-G. Park, D. H. Lee: The AP-Denjoy and AP-Henstock integrals. Czech. Math. J. 57 (2007), 689–696, which concerns a descriptive characterization of the approximate Kurzweil-Henstock integral. We bring to attention known results which are stronger than those contained in the aforementioned work. We show that some of them can be formulated in terms of a derivation basis defined by a local system of which the approximate basis...

The area formula for W 1 , n -mappings

Jan Malý (1994)

Commentationes Mathematicae Universitatis Carolinae

Let f be a mapping in the Sobolev space W 1 , n ( Ω , 𝐑 n ) . Then the change of variables, or area formula holds for f provided removing from counting into the multiplicity function the set where f is not approximately Hölder continuous. This exceptional set has Hausdorff dimension zero.

The Banach–Mazur game and σ-porosity

Miroslav Zelený (1996)

Fundamenta Mathematicae

It is well known that the sets of the first category in a metric space can be described using the so-called Banach-Mazur game. We will show that if we change the rules of the Banach-Mazur game (by forcing the second player to choose large balls) then we can describe sets which can be covered by countably many closed uniformly porous sets. A characterization of σ-very porous sets and a sufficient condition for σ-porosity are also given in the terminology of games.

The Basic Existence Theorem of Riemann-Stieltjes Integral

Kazuhisa Nakasho, Keiko Narita, Yasunari Shidama (2016)

Formalized Mathematics

In this article, the basic existence theorem of Riemann-Stieltjes integral is formalized. This theorem states that if f is a continuous function and ρ is a function of bounded variation in a closed interval of real line, f is Riemann-Stieltjes integrable with respect to ρ. In the first section, basic properties of real finite sequences are formalized as preliminaries. In the second section, we formalized the existence theorem of the Riemann-Stieltjes integral. These formalizations are based on [15],...
