Description of the structure of singular spectrum for Friedrichs model operators near singular point.
We consider a special class of sums of non-commuting positive operators on L²-spaces and derive a formula for their holomorphic semigroups. The formula enables us to give sufficient conditions for these operators to admit differentiable -functional calculus for 1 ≤ p ≤ ∞. Our results are in particular applicable to certain sub-Laplacians, Schrödinger operators and sums of even powers of vector fields on solvable Lie groups with exponential volume growth.
After introducing the notion of capacity in a general Hilbert space setting we look at the spectral bound of an arbitrary self-adjoint and semi-bounded operator . If is subjected to a domain perturbation the spectrum is shifted to the right. We show that the magnitude of this shift can be estimated in terms of the capacity. We improve the upper bound on the shift which was given in Capacity in abstract Hilbert spaces and applications to higher order differential operators (Comm. P. D. E., 24:759–775,...
We show that a B-space E has the (CRP) if and only if any dominated operator T from C[0, 1] into E is compact. Hence we apply this result to prove that c0 embeds isomorphically into the B-space of all compact operators from C[0, 1] into an arbitrary B-space E without the (CRP).
Various versions of the Dynamical Systems Method (DSM) are proposed for solving linear ill-posed problems with bounded and unbounded operators. Convergence of the proposed methods is proved. Some new results concerning the discrepancy principle for choosing the regularization parameter are obtained.
