On the Example of Almost Pseudo-Z-symmetric Manifolds

Kanak Kanti Baishya, Patrik Peška (2016)

Acta Universitatis Palackianae Olomucensis. Facultas Rerum Naturalium. Mathematica

In the present paper we have obtained a new example of non-Ricci-flat almost pseudo-Z-symmetric manifolds in the class of equidistant spaces, which admit non-trivial geodesic mappings.

On the first eigenvalue of spacelike hypersurfaces in Lorentzian space

Bing Ye Wu (2006)

Archivum Mathematicum

In this paper we obtain a lower bound for the first Dirichlet eigenvalue of complete spacelike hypersurfaces in Lorentzian space in terms of mean curvature and the square length of the second fundamental form. This estimate is sharp for totally umbilical hyperbolic spaces in Lorentzian space. We also get a sufficient condition for spacelike hypersurface to have zero first eigenvalue.

On the quadric CMC spacelike hypersurfaces in Lorentzian space forms

Cícero P. Aquino, Henrique F. de Lima, Fábio R. dos Santos (2016)

Colloquium Mathematicae

We deal with complete spacelike hypersurfaces immersed with constant mean curvature in a Lorentzian space form. Under the assumption that the support functions with respect to a fixed nonzero vector are linearly related, we prove that such a hypersurface must be either totally umbilical or isometric to a hyperbolic cylinder of the ambient space.

On the topological charge conservation in the three-dimensional O ( 3 ) σ -model.

Jaroslav Dittrich (1984)

Aplikace matematiky

A field of three-component unit vectors on the 2 + 1 dimensional spacetime is considered. Two field configurations with different values of the topological charge cannot be connected by the path of field configurations with a finite Euclidean action. Therefore there is no transition between them. The initial and final configurations are assumed to be continuous at infinity. The asymptotic behaviour of intermediate configurations may be arbitrary. The proof is based on the properties of the degree of...
