A brief review of supersymmetric non-linear sigma models and generalized complex geometry

Ulf Lindström (2006)

Archivum Mathematicum

This is a review of the relation between supersymmetric non-linear sigma models and target space geometry. In particular, we report on the derivation of generalized Kähler geometry from sigma models with additional spinorial superfields. Some of the results reviewed are: Generalized complex geometry from sigma models in the Lagrangian formulation; Coordinatization of generalized Kähler geometry in terms of chiral, twisted chiral and semi-chiral superfields; Generalized Kähler geometry from sigma...

A gauge-field approach to 3- and 4-manifold invariants

Bogusław Broda (1997)

Banach Center Publications

An approach to construction of topological invariants of the Reshetikhin-Turaev-Witten type of 3- and 4-dimensional manifolds in the framework of SU(2) Chern-Simons gauge theory and its hidden (quantum) gauge symmetry is presented.

A note on states of von Neumann algebras

Allah-Bakhsh Thaheem (1979)

Aplikace matematiky

The author proves that on a von Neumann albebra (possibly of uncountable cardinality) there exists a family of states having mutually orthogonal supports (projections) converging to the identity operator.
