Lexicographic combinations of preference relations in the context of Possibilistic Decision Theory.

Lluís Godo, Adriana Zapico (2006)

Mathware and Soft Computing

In Possibilistic Decision Theory (PDT), decisions are ranked by a pressimistic or by an optimistic qualitative criteria. The preference relations induced by these criteria have been axiomatized by corresponding sets of rationality postulates, both à la von Neumann and Morgenstern and à la Savage. In this paper we first address a particular issue regarding the axiomatic systems of PDT à la von Neumann and Morgenstern. Namely, we show how to adapt the axiomatic systems for the pessimistic and optimistic...

Measuring criteria weights by means of Dimension Theory.

Daniel Gómez, Javier Montero de Juan, Javier Yáñez Gestoso (2006)

Mathware and Soft Computing

Measuring criteria weights in multicriteria decision making is a key issue in order to amalgamate information when reality is being described from several different points of view. In this paper we propose a method for evaluating those weights taking advantage of Dimension Theory, which allows the representation of the set of alternatives within a real space, provided that decision maker preferences satisfy certain consistency conditions. Such a representation allows a first information about possible...

Méthode d'aide à la décision sur des évaluations multicritères par plusieurs juges

C. Vidal, A. Yehia Alcoutlabi (1990)

More on the tournament equilibrium set

G. Laffond, J. F. Laslier, M. Le Breton (1993)

Mathématiques et Sciences Humaines

Schwartz (1990) proposed a new solution concept for choosing from a tournament ; called the Tournament Equilibrium Set. He stated four problems concerning this solution. In this paper we introduce further questions and demonstrate some logical relationship between these questions.

Multi-attribute evaluation with imprecise vector utility

Sixto Ríos-Insua, Alfonso Mateos (1996)

Revista de la Real Academia de Ciencias Exactas Físicas y Naturales

We consider the multi-attribute decision making problem with incomplete information on the decision maker's preferences, given by an imprecise vector utility function. We introduce an approximation set to the utility efficient set which may be used to aid a decision maker in reaching a final compromise strategy. We provide sorne properties and an interactive procedure based on such approximation set.

On decision-making in possibility theory

Jiřina Vejnarová (2015)

Kybernetika

We present an alternative approach to decision-making in the framework of possibility theory, based on the idea of decision-making under uncertainty. We utilize the fact, that any possibility distribution can be viewed as an upper envelope of a set of probability distributions to which well-known minimax principle is applicable. Finally, we recall also an alternative to the minimax rule, so-called local minimax principle. Local minimax principle not only allows sequential construction of decision...
