We also show that the Aubin continuity actually implies uniform Q-quadratic convergence provided that the derivative of f is Lipschitz...
We study ergodic properties of stochastic dissipative systems with additive noise. We show that the system is uniformly exponentially ergodic provided the growth of nonlinearity at infinity is faster than linear. The abstract result is applied to the stochastic reaction diffusion equation in with .
We prove uniform factorization results that describe the factorization of compact sets of compact and weakly compact operators via Hölder continuous homeomorphisms having Lipschitz continuous inverses. This yields, in particular, quantitative strengthenings of results of Graves and Ruess on the factorization through -spaces and of Aron, Lindström, Ruess, and Ryan on the factorization through universal spaces of Figiel and Johnson. Our method is based on the isometric version of the Davis-Figiel-Johnson-Pełczyński...
We prove that if the composition operator F generated by a function f: [a, b] × ℝ → ℝ maps the space of bounded (p, k)-variation in the sense of Riesz-Popoviciu, p ≥ 1, k an integer, denoted by RV(p,k)[a, b], into itself and is uniformly bounded then RV(p,k)[a, b] satisfies the Matkowski condition.
We prove that the generator of any uniformly bounded set-valued Nemytskij operator acting between generalized Hölder function metric spaces, with nonempty compact and convex values is an affine function with respect to the function variable.
We show that the generator of any uniformly bounded set-valued Nemytskij composition operator acting between generalized Hölder function metric spaces, with nonempty, bounded, closed, and convex values, is an affine function.
We show that any uniformly continuous and convex compact valued Nemytskiĭ composition operator acting in the spaces of functions of bounded φ-variation in the sense of Riesz is generated by an affine function.
We derive and analyze adaptive solvers for boundary value problems in which the differential operator depends affinely on a sequence of parameters. These methods converge uniformly in the parameters and provide an upper bound for the maximal error. Numerical computations indicate that they are more efficient than similar methods that control the error in a mean square sense.

The concept of uniform convexity of a Banach space was gen- eralized to linear operators between Banach spaces and studied by Beauzamy [1]. Under this generalization, a Banach space X is uniformly convex if and only if its identity map Ix is. Pisier showe
We study the concept of uniform (quasi-) A-ergodicity for A-contractions on a Hilbert space, where A is a positive operator. More precisely, we investigate the role of closedness of certain ranges in the uniformly ergodic behavior of A-contractions. We use some known results of M. Lin, M. Mbekhta and J. Zemánek, and S. Grabiner and J. Zemánek, concerning the uniform convergence of the Cesàro means of an operator, to obtain similar versions for A-contractions. Thus, we continue the study of A-ergodic...
