Lambert multipliers of the range of composition operators
In many fields: signal theory, economics, etc... where random functions are introduced, frequently and naturally we encounter integral operators whose kernels are covariances. Of course the most immediate properties of that particular kind of integral operators have already been published, this allows us to quote them without proofs. But these properties are scattered over, so we have thought useful to present here a synthetic ordered, almost full account of them without pretending to originality,...
We show that if , then the logarithmically weighted Bergman space is mapped by the Libera operator into the space , while if and , then the Hilbert matrix operator maps into .We show that the Libera operator maps the logarithmically weighted Bloch space , , into itself, while maps into .In Pavlović’s paper (2016) it is shown that maps the logarithmically weighted Hardy-Bloch space , , into . We show that this result is sharp. We also show that maps , , into and...
This article is divided into two parts. The first one is on the linear structure of the set of norm-attaining functionals on a Banach space. We prove that every Banach space that admits an infinite-dimensional separable quotient can be equivalently renormed so that the set of norm-attaining functionals contains an infinite-dimensional vector subspace. This partially solves a question proposed by Aron and Gurariy. The second part is on the linear structure of dominated operators. We show that the...
Representation of bounded and compact linear operators in the Banach space of regulated functions is given in terms of Perron-Stieltjes integral.
We study linear operators from a non-locally convex Orlicz space to a Banach space . Recall that a linear operator is said to be σ-smooth whenever in implies . It is shown that every σ-smooth operator factors through the inclusion map , where Φ̅ denotes the convex minorant of Φ. We obtain the Bochner integral representation of σ-smooth operators . This extends some earlier results of J. J. Uhl concerning the Bochner integral representation of linear operators defined on a locally convex...
In the setting of a metric measure space (X, d, μ) with an n-dimensional Radon measure μ, we give a necessary and sufficient condition for the boundedness of Calderón-Zygmund operators associated to the measure μ on Lipschitz spaces on the support of μ. Also, for the Euclidean space Rd with an arbitrary Radon measure μ, we give several characterizations of Lipschitz spaces on the support of μ, Lip(α,μ), in terms of mean oscillations involving μ. This allows us to view the "regular" BMO space of...
By direct calculus we identify explicitly the lipschitzian norm of the solution of the Poisson equation in terms of various norms of g, where is a Sturm–Liouville operator or generator of a non-singular diffusion in an interval. This allows us to obtain the best constant in the L1-Poincaré inequality (a little stronger than the Cheeger isoperimetric inequality) and some sharp transportation–information inequalities and concentration inequalities for empirical means. We conclude with several illustrative...
In the paper local entropy moduli of operators between Banach spaces are introduced. They constitue a generalization of entropy numbers and moduli, and localize these notions in an appropriate way. Many results regarding entropy numbers and moduli can be carried over to local entropy moduli. We investigate relations between local entropy moduli and s-numbers, spectral properties, eigenvalues, absolutely summing operators. As applications, local entropy moduli of identical and diagonal operators...
Mathematics Subject Classification: 47B38, 31B10, 42B20, 42B15.We obtain the Lp → Lq - estimates for the fractional acoustic potentials in R^n, which are known to be negative powers of the Helmholtz operator, and some related operators. Some applications of these estimates are also given.* This paper has been supported by Russian Fond of Fundamental Investigations under Grant No. 40–01–008632 a.
m-Berezin transforms are introduced for bounded operators on the Bergman space of the unit ball. The norm of the m-Berezin transform as a linear operator from the space of bounded operators to L∞ is found. We show that the m-Berezin transforms are commuting with each other and Lipschitz with respect to the pseudo-hyperbolic distance on the unit ball. Using the m-Berezin transforms we show that a radial operator in the Toeplitz algebra is compact iff its Berezin transform vanishes on the boundary...
