We show that for any given integer $k$ there exist infinitely many consecutive square-free numbers of the type $x^2+y^2+z^2+k$, $x^2+y^2+z^2+k+1$. We also establish an asymptotic formula for $1\le x,y,z\le H$ such that $x^2+y^2+z^2+k$, $x^2+y^2+z^2+k+1$ are square-free. The method we used in this paper is due to Tolev.

Denote by $C$ the commutator $AB-BA$ of two bounded operators $A$ and $B$ acting on a locally convex topological vector space. If $AC-CA=0$, we show that $C$ is a quasinilpotent operator and we prove that if $AC-CA$ is a compact operator, then $C$ is a Riesz operator.

Let $ℐ$ be a coherent subsheaf of a locally free sheaf $𝒪\left(E_0\right)$ and suppose that $ℱ=𝒪\left(E_0\right)/ℐ$ has pure codimension. Starting with a residue current $R$ obtained from a locally free resolution of $ℱ$ we construct a vector-valued Coleff-Herrera current $\mu$ with support on the variety associated to $ℱ$ such that $\phi$ is in $ℐ$ if and only if $\mu \phi =0$. Let $k$ be a fixed integer. We study the asymptotic formula of $R(H,r,k)$, which is the number of positive integer solutions $1\le x,y,z\le H$ such that the polynomial $x^2+y^2+z^2+k$ is $r$-free. We obtained the asymptotic formula of $R(H,r,k)$ for all $r\ge 2$. Our result is new even in the case $r=2$. We proved that $R(H,2,k)=c_k{H}^3+O\left(H^{9/4+\epsilon }\right)$, where $c_k>0$ is a constant depending on $k$. This improves upon the error term $O\left(H^{7/3+\epsilon }\right)$ obtained by G.-L. Zhou, Y. Ding (2022).

Let $𝕍$ be a separable real Hilbert space, $k\in \mathbb{N}$ with $k<dim𝕍$, and let $B$ be convex and closed in $𝕍$. Let $𝒫$ be a collection of linear $k$-subspaces of $𝕍$. A point $w\in B$ is called exposed by $𝒫$ if there is a $P\in 𝒫$ so that $(w+P)\cap B=\left\{w\right\}$. We show that, under some natural conditions, $B$ can be reconstituted as the convex hull of the closure of all its exposed by $𝒫$ points whenever $𝒫$ is dense and $G_{\delta }$. In addition, we discuss the question when the set of exposed by some $𝒫$ points forms a $G_{\delta }$-set.

The paper deals with logarithmic capacities, an important tool in pluripotential theory. We consider $k$-free numbers over Beatty sequences. New results are given. In particular, for a fixed irrational number $\alpha >1$ of finite type $\tau <\infty$ and any constant $\epsilon >0$, we can show that $$\sum _{\genfrac{}{}{0pt}{}{1\le n\le x}{[\alpha n+\beta ]\in {𝒬}_k}}1-\frac{x}{\zeta \left(k\right)}\ll x^{k/(2k-1)+\epsilon }+x^{1-1/(\tau +1)+\epsilon },$$ where ${𝒬}_k$ is the set of positive $k$-free integers and the implied constant depends only on $\alpha ,$ $\epsilon ,$ $k$ and $\beta .$ This improves previous results. An investigation is launched into the fundamental characteristics of operations on and between sets, with a focus on compact convex sets and star sets (compact sets star-shaped with respect to the origin) in $n$-dimensional Euclidean space ${ℝ}^n$. Let $L_c\left(X\right)=\{f\in C\left(X\right):\overline{C_f}=X\}$, where $C_f$ is the union of all open subsets $U\subseteq X$ such that $\left|f\left(U\right)\right|\le {\aleph }_0$. In this paper, we present a pointfree topology version of $L_c\left(X\right)$, named ${ℛ}_{\ell c}\left(L\right)$. We observe that ${ℛ}_{\ell c}\left(L\right)$ enjoys most of the important properties shared by $ℛ\left(L\right)$ and ${ℛ}_c\left(L\right)$, where ${ℛ}_c\left(L\right)$ is the pointfree version of all continuous functions of $C\left(X\right)$ with countable image. The interrelation between $ℛ\left(L\right)$, ${ℛ}_{\ell c}\left(L\right)$, and ${ℛ}_c\left(L\right)$ is examined. We show that any ${\Sigma }_s$-product of at most $𝔠$-many $L\Sigma (\le \omega )$-spaces has the $L\Sigma (\le \omega )$-property. This result generalizes some known results about $L\Sigma (\le \omega )$-spaces.
