On unit group of finite semisimple group algebras of non-metabelian groups up to order 72

Gaurav Mittal, Rajendra Kumar Sharma (2021)

Mathematica Bohemica

Similarity:

We characterize the unit group of semisimple group algebras 𝔽 q G of some non-metabelian groups, where F q is a field with q = p k elements for p prime and a positive integer k . In particular, we consider all 6 non-metabelian groups of order 48, the only non-metabelian group ( ( C 3 × C 3 ) C 3 ) C 2 of order 54, and 7 non-metabelian groups of order 72. This completes the study of unit groups of semisimple group algebras for groups upto order 72.

The unit groups of semisimple group algebras of some non-metabelian groups of order 144

Gaurav Mittal, Rajendra K. Sharma (2023)

Mathematica Bohemica

Similarity:

We consider all the non-metabelian groups G of order 144 that have exponent either 36 or 72 and deduce the unit group U ( 𝔽 q G ) of semisimple group algebra 𝔽 q G . Here, q denotes the power of a prime, i.e., q = p r for p prime and a positive integer r . Up to isomorphism, there are 6 groups of order 144 that have exponent either 36 or 72 . Additionally, we also discuss how to simply obtain the unit groups of the semisimple group algebras of those non-metabelian groups of order 144 that are a direct product of two...

Right coideal subalgebras of U q + ( 𝔰𝔬 2 n + 1 )

V. K. Kharchenko (2011)

Journal of the European Mathematical Society

Similarity:

We give a complete classification of right coideal subalgebras that contain all grouplike elements for the quantum group U q + ( 𝔰𝔬 2 n + 1 ) provided that q is not a root of 1. If q has a finite multiplicative order t > 4 ; this classification remains valid for homogeneous right coideal subalgebras of the Frobenius–Lusztig kernel u q + ( 𝔰𝔬 2 n + 1 ) . In particular, the total number of right coideal subalgebras that contain the coradical equals ( 2 n ) ! ! ; the order of the Weyl group defined by the root system of type B n .

Centralizing traces and Lie-type isomorphisms on generalized matrix algebras: a new perspective

Xinfeng Liang, Feng Wei, Ajda Fošner (2019)

Czechoslovak Mathematical Journal

Similarity:

Let be a commutative ring, 𝒢 be a generalized matrix algebra over with weakly loyal bimodule and 𝒵 ( 𝒢 ) be the center of 𝒢 . Suppose that 𝔮 : 𝒢 × 𝒢 𝒢 is an -bilinear mapping and that 𝔗 𝔮 : 𝒢 𝒢 is a trace of 𝔮 . The aim of this article is to describe the form of 𝔗 𝔮 satisfying the centralizing condition [ 𝔗 𝔮 ( x ) , x ] 𝒵 ( 𝒢 ) (and commuting condition [ 𝔗 𝔮 ( x ) , x ] = 0 ) for all x 𝒢 . More precisely, we will revisit the question of when the centralizing trace (and commuting trace) 𝔗 𝔮 has the so-called proper form from a new perspective. Using the aforementioned...

A class of quantum doubles of pointed Hopf algebras of rank one

Czechoslovak Mathematical Journal

We construct a class of quantum doubles D ( H D n ) of pointed Hopf algebras of rank one H 𝒟 . We describe the algebra structures of D ( H D n ) by generators with relations. Moreover, we give the comultiplication Δ D , counit ε D and the antipode S D , respectively.

The bicrossed products of H 4 and H 8

Daowei Lu, Yan Ning, Dingguo Wang (2020)

Czechoslovak Mathematical Journal

Similarity:

Let H 4 and H 8 be the Sweedler’s and Kac-Paljutkin Hopf algebras, respectively. We prove that any Hopf algebra which factorizes through H 8 and H 4 (equivalently, any bicrossed product between the Hopf algebras H 8 and H 4 ) must be isomorphic to one of the following four Hopf algebras: H 8 H 4 , H 32 , 1 , H 32 , 2 , H 32 , 3 . The set of all matched pairs ( H 8 , H 4 , , ) is explicitly described, and then the associated bicrossed product is given by generators and relations.

C * -basic construction between non-balanced quantum doubles

Qiaoling Xin, Tianqing Cao (2024)

Czechoslovak Mathematical Journal

Similarity:

For finite groups X , G and the right G -action on X by group automorphisms, the non-balanced quantum double D ( X ; G ) is defined as the crossed product ( X op ) * G . We firstly prove that D ( X ; G ) is a finite-dimensional Hopf C * -algebra. For any subgroup H of G , D ( X ; H ) can be defined as a Hopf C * -subalgebra of D ( X ; G ) in the natural way. Then there is a conditonal expectation from D ( X ; G ) onto D ( X ; H ) and the index is [ G ; H ] . Moreover, we prove that an associated natural inclusion of non-balanced quantum doubles is the crossed product by the...

The moduli space of commutative algebras of finite rank

Bjorn Poonen (2008)

Journal of the European Mathematical Society

Similarity:

The moduli space of rank- n commutative algebras equipped with an ordered basis is an affine scheme 𝔅 n of finite type over , with geometrically connected fibers. It is smooth if and only if n 3 . It is reducible if n 8 (and the converse holds, at least if we remove the fibers above 2 and 3 ). The relative dimension of 𝔅 n is 2 27 n 3 + O ( n 8 / 3 ) . The subscheme parameterizing étale algebras is isomorphic to GL n / S n , which is of dimension only n 2 . For n 8 , there exist algebras that are not limits of étale algebras. The dimension...

Singularity categories of skewed-gentle algebras

Xinhong Chen, Ming Lu (2015)

Colloquium Mathematicae

Similarity:

Let K be an algebraically closed field. Let (Q,Sp,I) be a skewed-gentle triple, and let ( Q s g , I s g ) and ( Q g , I g ) be the corresponding skewed-gentle pair and the associated gentle pair, respectively. We prove that the skewed-gentle algebra K Q s g / I s g is singularity equivalent to KQ/⟨I⟩. Moreover, we use (Q,Sp,I) to describe the singularity category of K Q g / I g . As a corollary, we find that g l d i m K Q s g / I s g < if and only if g l d i m K Q / I < if and only if g l d i m K Q g / I g < .

Suppose A is a separable unital 𝒞 ( X ) -algebra each fibre of which is isomorphic to the same strongly self-absorbing and K 1 -injective C * -algebra 𝒟 . Covariantization of quantized calculi over quantum groups

We introduce a method for construction of a covariant differential calculus over a Hopf algebra A from a quantized calculus d a = [ D , a ] , a A , where D is a candidate for a Dirac operator for A . We recover the method of construction of a bicovariant differential calculus given by T. Brzeziński and S. Majid created from a central element of the dual Hopf algebra A . In this paper we present representation of finite effect algebras by matrices. For each non-trivial finite effect algebra E we construct set of matrices M ( E ) in such a way that effect algebras E 1 and E 2 are isomorphic if and only if M ( E 1 ) = M ( E 2 ) . The paper also contains the full list of matrices representing all nontrivial finite effect algebras of cardinality at most 8 .

Cambrian fans

For any positive integer n , let A n be a linearly oriented quiver of type A with n vertices. It is well-known that the quotient of an exact category by projective-injectives is an extriangulated category. We show that there exists an extriangulated equivalence between the extriangulated categories n + 1 and n , where n + 1 and n are the two extriangulated categories corresponding to the representation category of A n + 1 and the morphism category of projective representations of A n , respectively. As a...
