Idele characters in spectral synthesis on 𝐑 / 2 π 𝐙

John J. Benedetto (1973)

Annales de l'institut Fourier

Let s C , x R / 2 π Z . We construct Dirichlet series F ( x , x ) where for each fixed s in a half plane, Re F ( x , x ) , as a function of x , is a non-synthesizable absolutely convergent Fourier series. Because of the way the frequencies in F are chosen, we are motivated to introduce a class of synthesizable absolutely convergent Fourier series which are defined in terms of idele characters. We solve the “problem of analytic continuation” in this setting by constructing pseudo-measures, determined by idele characters, when Re s 1 .

Kummer congruences for expressions involving generalized Bernoulli polynomials

Glenn J. Fox (2002)

Journal de théorie des nombres de Bordeaux

We illustrate how a particular expression, involving the generalized Bernoulli polynomials, satisfies systems of congruence relations if and only if a similar expression, involving the generalized Bernoulli numbers, satisfies the same congruence relations. These congruence relations include the Kummer congruences, and recent extensions of the Kummer congruences provided by Gunaratne.

Le système d’Euler de Kato

Shanwen Wang (2013)

Li coefficients for automorphic L -functions

Jeffrey C. Lagarias (2007)

Annales de l’institut Fourier

Xian-Jin Li gave a criterion for the Riemann hypothesis in terms of the positivity of a set of coefficients λ n ( n = 1 , 2 , ...

Local ε 0 -characters in torsion rings

Seidai Yasuda (2007)

Journal de Théorie des Nombres de Bordeaux

Let p be a rational prime and K a complete discrete valuation field with residue field k of positive characteristic p . When k is finite, generalizing the theory of Deligne [1], we construct in [10] and [11] a theory of local ε 0 -constants for representations, over a complete local ring with an algebraically closed residue field of characteristic p , of the Weil group W K of K . In this paper, we generalize the results in [10] and [11] to the case where k is an arbitrary perfect field.
