An algorithm for hybrid regularizers based image restoration with Poisson noise

Cong Thang Pham, Thi Thu Thao Tran (2021)

Kybernetika

In this paper, a hybrid regularizers model for Poissonian image restoration is introduced. We study existence and uniqueness of minimizer for this model. To solve the resulting minimization problem, we employ the alternating minimization method with rigorous convergence guarantee. Numerical results demonstrate the efficiency and stability of the proposed method for suppressing Poisson noise.

An analytic method for the initial value problem of the electric field system in vertical inhomogeneous anisotropic media

Valery Yakhno, Ali Sevimlican (2011)

Applications of Mathematics

The time-dependent system of partial differential equations of the second order describing the electric wave propagation in vertically inhomogeneous electrically and magnetically biaxial anisotropic media is considered. A new analytical method for solving an initial value problem for this system is the main object of the paper. This method consists in the following: the initial value problem is written in terms of Fourier images with respect to lateral space variables, then the resulting problem...

An approach based on matrix polynomials for linear systems of partial differential equations

N. Shayanfar, M. Hadizadeh (2013)

Special Matrices

In this paper, an approach based on matrix polynomials is introduced for solving linear systems of partial differential equations. The main feature of the proposed method is the computation of the Smith canonical form of the assigned matrix polynomial to the linear system of PDEs, which leads to a reduced system. It will be shown that the reduced one is an independent system of PDEs having only one unknown in each equation. A comparison of the results for several test problems reveals that the method...

An existence result for a quadrature surface free boundary problem

Mohammed Barkatou, Diaraf Seck, Idrissa Ly (2005)

Open Mathematics

The aim of this paper is to present two different approachs in order to obtain an existence result to the so-called quadrature surface free boundary problem. The first one requires the shape derivative calculus while the second one depends strongly on the compatibility condition of the Neumann problem. A necessary and sufficient condition of existences is given in the radial case.
