Fonctions de récurrence des suites d’Arnoux-Rauzy et réponse à une question de Morse et Hedlund

Julien Cassaigne, Nataliya Chekhova (2006)

Dominique Cerveau, Paulo R. Sad (2004)

Annali della Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa - Classe di Scienze

We define the notion of CR equivalence for Levi-flat foliations and compare in a local setting these foliations to their linear parts. We study also the situation where the foliation has a first integral ; a condition is given so that this integral is the real part of a holomorphic function.

For almost every tent map, the turning point is typical

Henk Bruin (1998)

Fundamenta Mathematicae

Let T a be the tent map with slope a. Let c be its turning point, and μ a the absolutely continuous invariant probability measure. For an arbitrary, bounded, almost everywhere continuous function g, it is shown that for almost every a, ʃ g d μ a = l i m n 1 n i = 0 n - 1 g ( T a i ( c ) ) . As a corollary, we deduce that the critical point of a quadratic map is generically not typical for its absolutely continuous invariant probability measure, if it exists.

Forcing relation on interval patterns

Jozef Bobok (2005)

Fundamenta Mathematicae

We consider-without restriction to the piecewise monotone case-a forcing relation on interval (transitive, roof, bottom) patterns. We prove some basic properties of this type of forcing and explain when it is a partial ordering. Finally, we show how our approach relates to the results known from the literature.

Forcing relation on minimal interval patterns

Jozef Bobok (2001)

Fundamenta Mathematicae

Let ℳ be the set of pairs (T,g) such that T ⊂ ℝ is compact, g: T → T is continuous, g is minimal on T and has a piecewise monotone extension to convT. Two pairs (T,g),(S,f) from ℳ are equivalent if the map h: orb(minT,g) → orb(minS,f) defined for each m ∈ ℕ₀ by h ( g m ( m i n T ) ) = f m ( m i n S ) is increasing on orb(minT,g). An equivalence class of this relation-a minimal (oriented) pattern A-is exhibited by a continuous interval map f:I → I if there is a set T ⊂ I such that (T,f|T) = (T,f) ∈ A. We define the forcing relation on...

Formes de contact ayant le même champ de Reeb

Aggoun, Saad (2011)

Serdica Mathematical Journal

2000 Mathematics Subject Classification: 37J55, 53D10, 53D17, 53D35.In this paper, we study contact forms on a 3-manifold having a common Reeb vector field R. The main result is that when the contact forms induce the same orientation, they are diffeomorphic.

Formes de Pfaff à singularités non dégénérées

Edward Wagneur (1978)

Fourier diffraction theorem for the tensor fields

Alexander Leonidovich Balandin (2023)

Applications of Mathematics

The paper is devoted to the electromagnetic inverse scattering problem for a dielectric anisotropic and magnetically isotropic media. The properties of an anisotropic medium with respect to electromagnetic waves are defined by the tensors, which give the relation between the inductions and the fields. The tensor Fourier diffraction theorem derived in the paper can be considered a useful tool for studying tensor fields in inverse problems of electromagnetic scattering. The method is based on the...

Fourier expansion along geodesics on Riemann surfaces

Anton Deitmar (2014)

Open Mathematics

For an eigenfunction of the Laplacian on a hyperbolic Riemann surface, the coefficients of the Fourier expansion are described as intertwining functionals. All intertwiners are classified. A refined growth estimate for the coefficients is given and a summation formula is proved.
