On solutions of integral equations with analytic kernels and rotations

Nguyen Van Mau, Nguyen Minh Tuan (1996)

Annales Polonici Mathematici

We deal with a class of integral equations on the unit circle in the complex plane with a regular part and with rotations of the form (*)     x(t) + a(t)(Tx)(t) = b(t), where T = M n , k . . . M n m , k m and M n j , k j are of the form (3) below. We prove that under some assumptions on analytic continuation of the given functions, (*) is a singular integral equation for m odd and is a Fredholm equation for m even. Further, we prove that T is an algebraic operator with characteristic polynomial P T ( t ) = t ³ - t . By means of the Riemann boundary value...

On some structural properties of Banach function spaces and boundedness of certain integral operators

T. S. Kopaliani (2004)

Czechoslovak Mathematical Journal

In this paper the notions of uniformly upper and uniformly lower -estimates for Banach function spaces are introduced. Further, the pair ( X , Y ) of Banach function spaces is characterized, where X and Y satisfy uniformly a lower -estimate and uniformly an upper -estimate, respectively. The integral operator from X into Y of the form K f ( x ) = ϕ ( x ) 0 x k ( x , y ) f ( y ) ψ ( y ) d y is studied, where k , ϕ , ψ are prescribed functions under some local integrability conditions, the kernel k is non-negative and is assumed to satisfy certain additional...

On stability and robust stability of positive linear Volterra equations in Banach lattices

Satoru Murakami, Pham Ngoc (2010)

Open Mathematics

We study positive linear Volterra integro-differential equations in Banach lattices. A characterization of positive equations is given. Furthermore, an explicit spectral criterion for uniformly asymptotic stability of positive equations is presented. Finally, we deal with problems of robust stability of positive systems under structured perturbations. Some explicit stability bounds with respect to these perturbations are given.

On stability of linear neutral differential equations with variable delays

Leonid Berezansky, Elena Braverman (2019)

Czechoslovak Mathematical Journal

We present a review of known stability tests and new explicit exponential stability conditions for the linear scalar neutral equation with two delays x ˙ ( t ) - a ( t ) x ˙ ( g ( t ) ) + b ( t ) x ( h ( t ) ) = 0 , where | a ( t ) | < 1 , b ( t ) 0 , h ( t ) t , g ( t ) t , and for its generalizations, including equations with more than two delays, integro-differential equations and equations with a distributed delay.

On the A -integrability of singular integral transforms

Shobha Madan (1984)

Annales de l'institut Fourier

In this article we study the weak type Hardy space of harmonic functions in the upper half plane R + n + 1 and we prove the A -integrability of singular integral transforms defined by Calderón-Zygmund kernels. This generalizes the corresponding result for Riesz transforms proved by Alexandrov.
