A group action on Losev-Manin cohomological field theories

Sergey Shadrin, Dimitri Zvonkine (2011)

Annales de l’institut Fourier

We discuss an analog of the Givental group action for the space of solutions of the commutativity equation. There are equivalent formulations in terms of cohomology classes on the Losev-Manin compactifications of genus  0 moduli spaces; in terms of linear algebra in the space of Laurent series; in terms of differential operators acting on Gromov-Witten potentials; and in terms of multi-component KP tau-functions. The last approach is equivalent to the Losev-Polyubin classification that was obtained...

An index inequality for embedded pseudoholomorphic curves in symplectizations

Michael Hutchings (2002)

Journal of the European Mathematical Society

Let Σ be a surface with a symplectic form, let φ be a symplectomorphism of Σ , and let Y be the mapping torus of φ . We show that the dimensions of moduli spaces of embedded pseudoholomorphic curves in × 𝕐 , with cylindrical ends asymptotic to periodic orbits of φ or multiple covers thereof, are bounded from above by an additive relative index. We deduce some compactness results for these moduli spaces. This paper establishes some of the foundations for a program with Michael Thaddeus, to understand...

An introduction to quantum sheaf cohomology

Eric Sharpe (2011)

Annales de l’institut Fourier

In this note we review “quantum sheaf cohomology,” a deformation of sheaf cohomology that arises in a fashion closely akin to (and sometimes generalizing) ordinary quantum cohomology. Quantum sheaf cohomology arises in the study of (0,2) mirror symmetry, which we review. We then review standard topological field theories and the A/2, B/2 models, in which quantum sheaf cohomology arises, and outline basic definitions and computations. We then discuss (2,2) and (0,2) supersymmetric Landau-Ginzburg...

De Rham cohomology and homotopy Frobenius manifolds

Vladimir Dotsenko, Sergey Shadrin, Bruno Vallette (2015)

Journal of the European Mathematical Society

We endow the de Rham cohomology of any Poisson or Jacobi manifold with a natural homotopy Frobenius manifold structure. This result relies on a minimal model theorem for multicomplexes and a new kind of a Hodge degeneration condition.

Differential Batalin-Vilkovisky algebras arising from twilled Lie-Rinehart algebras

Johannes Huebschmann (2000)

Banach Center Publications

Twilled L(ie-)R(inehart)-algebras generalize, in the Lie-Rinehart context, complex structures on smooth manifolds. An almost complex manifold determines an "almost twilled pre-LR algebra", which is a true twilled LR-algebra iff the almost complex structure is integrable. We characterize twilled LR structures in terms of certain associated differential (bi)graded Lie and G(erstenhaber)-algebras; in particular the G-algebra arising from an almost complex structure is a (strict) d(ifferential) G-algebra...

F -manifolds and integrable systems of hydrodynamic type

Paolo Lorenzoni, Marco Pedroni, Andrea Raimondo (2011)

Archivum Mathematicum

We investigate the role of Hertling-Manin condition on the structure constants of an associative commutative algebra in the theory of integrable systems of hydrodynamic type. In such a framework we introduce the notion of F -manifold with compatible connection generalizing a structure introduced by Manin.

Gromov–Witten invariants for mirror orbifolds of simple elliptic singularities

Ikuo Satake, Atsushi Takahashi (2011)

Annales de l’institut Fourier

We consider a mirror symmetry of simple elliptic singularities. In particular, we construct isomorphisms of Frobenius manifolds among the one from the Gromov–Witten theory of a weighted projective line, the one from the theory of primitive forms for a universal unfolding of a simple elliptic singularity and the one from the invariant theory for an elliptic Weyl group. As a consequence, we give a geometric interpretation of the Fourier coefficients of an eta product considered by K. Saito.

Invariants of real symplectic four-manifolds out of reducible and cuspidal curves

Jean-Yves Welschinger (2006)

Bulletin de la Société Mathématique de France

We construct invariants under deformation of real symplectic four-manifolds. These invariants are obtained by counting three different kinds of real rational J -holomorphic curves which realize a given homology class and pass through a given real configuration of (the appropriate number of) points. These curves are cuspidal curves, reducible curves and curves with a prescribed tangent line at some real point of the configuration. They are counted with respect to some sign defined by the parity of...

On F-algebroids and Dubrovin’s duality

John Alexander Cruz Morales, Alexander Torres-Gomez (2019)

Archivum Mathematicum

In this note we introduce the concept of F-algebroid, and give its elementary properties and some examples. We provide a description of the almost duality for Frobenius manifolds, introduced by Dubrovin, in terms of a composition of two anchor maps of a unique cotangent F-algebroid.
