Jordan's curve theorem.
In this paper we establish Kannan-type cyclic contraction results in probabilistic 2-metric spaces. We use two different types of -norm in our theorems. In our first theorem we use a Hadzic-type -norm. We use the minimum -norm in our second theorem. We prove our second theorem by different arguments than the first theorem. A control function is used in our second theorem. These results generalize some existing results in probabilistic 2-metric spaces. Our results are illustrated with an example....
We investigate free groups over sequential spaces. In particular, we show that the free -group and the free sequential group over a sequential space with unique limits coincide and, barred the trivial case, their sequential order is .
We prove that, for every countable ordinal α ≥ 3, there exists countable completely regular spaces Xα and Yα such that the spaces Cp (Xα ) and Cp (Yα ) are borelian of class exactly Mα , but are not homeomorphic.
We consider the following notion of largeness for subgroups of . A group G is large if it contains a free subgroup on generators. We give a necessary condition for a countable structure A to have a large group Aut(A) of automorphisms. It turns out that any countable free subgroup of can be extended to a large free subgroup of , and, under Martin’s Axiom, any free subgroup of of cardinality less than can also be extended to a large free subgroup of . Finally, if Gₙ are countable groups, then...
Large games of kind considered in the present paper (LSF-games) directly generalize the usual concept of n-matrix games; the notion is related to games with a continuum of players and anonymous games with finitely many types of players, finitely many available actions and distribution dependent payoffs; however, there is no need to introduce a distribution on the set of types. Relevant features of equilibrium distributions are studied by means of fixed point, nonlinear complementarity and constrained...
For any two continuous maps , between two solvmanifolds of the same dimension satisfying the Mostow condition, we give a technique of computation of the Lefschetz coincidence number of , . This result is an extension of the result of Ha, Lee and Penninckx for completely solvable case.
