Semi-quotient mappings and spaces

Moiz ud Din Khan, Rafaqat Noreen, Muhammad Siddique Bosan (2016)

Open Mathematics

In this paper, we continue the study of s-topological and irresolute-topological groups. We define semi-quotient mappings which are stronger than semi-continuous mappings, and then consider semi-quotient spaces and groups. It is proved that for some classes of irresolute-topological groups (G, *, τ) the semi-quotient space G/H is regular. Semi-isomorphisms of s-topological groups are also discussed.

Separately radial and radial Toeplitz operators on the projective space and representation theory

Raul Quiroga-Barranco, Armando Sanchez-Nungaray (2017)

Czechoslovak Mathematical Journal

We consider separately radial (with corresponding group 𝕋 n ) and radial (with corresponding group U ( n ) ) symbols on the projective space n ( ) , as well as the associated Toeplitz operators on the weighted Bergman spaces. It is known that the C * -algebras generated by each family of such Toeplitz operators are commutative (see R. Quiroga-Barranco and A. Sanchez-Nungaray (2011)). We present a new representation theoretic proof of such commutativity. Our method is easier and more enlightening as it shows that the...

Sequential convergences in lattices

Ján Jakubík (1992)

Mathematica Bohemica

The notion of sequential convergence on a lattice is defined in a natural way. In the present paper we investigate the system C o n v L of all sequential convergences on a lattice L .

Sets of p-multiplicity in locally compact groups

I. G. Todorov, L. Turowska (2015)

Studia Mathematica

We initiate the study of sets of p-multiplicity in locally compact groups and their operator versions. We show that a closed subset E of a second countable locally compact group G is a set of p-multiplicity if and only if E * = ( s , t ) : t s - 1 E is a set of operator p-multiplicity. We exhibit examples of sets of p-multiplicity, establish preservation properties for unions and direct products, and prove a p-version of the Stone-von Neumann Theorem.

Shadowing in actions of some Abelian groups

Sergei Yu. Pilyugin, Sergei B. Tikhomirov (2003)

Fundamenta Mathematicae

We study shadowing properties of continuous actions of the groups p and p × p . Necessary and sufficient conditions are given under which a linear action of p on m has a Lipschitz shadowing property.
