Continuous dependence on a parameter of solutions of generalized differential equations
We analyze an ordinary differential system with a hysteresis-relay nonlinearity in two cases when the system is autonomous or nonautonomous. Sufficient conditions for both the continuous dependence on the system parameters and the boundedness of the solutions to the system are obtained. We give a supporting example for the autonomous system.
Using Fan’s Min-Max Theorem we investigate existence of solutions and their dependence on parameters for some second order discrete boundary value problem. The approach is based on variational methods and solutions are obtained as saddle points to the relevant Euler action functional.
In this paper we extend the notion of I⁰-continuity and uniform I⁰-continuity from [2] to set-valued operators. Using these properties, we prove some results on continuous dependence of the fixed points set for families of contractive type set-valued operators.
Asymptotic properties of various semidynamical systems can be examined by means of continuous subadditive processes. To investigate such processes we consider different types of exponents: characteristic, central, singular and global exponents and we study their properties. We derive formulae for central and singular exponents and show that they provide upper bounds for characteristic exponents. The concept of conjugate processes introduced in this paper allows us to find lower bounds for characteristic...
The paper is divided in two parts. In the first part a deep investigation is made on some system theoretical aspects of periodic systems and control, including the notions of and norms, the parametrization of stabilizing controllers, and the existence of periodic solutions to Riccati differential equations and/or inequalities. All these aspects are useful in the second part, where some parametrization and control problems in and are introduced and solved.
