On basin of zero-solutions to a semilinear parabolic equation with Ornstein-Uhlenbeck operator.
In this paper, we consider solutions to the following chemotaxis system with general sensitivity Here, and are positive constants, is a smooth function on satisfying and is a bounded domain of (). It is well known that the chemotaxis system with direct sensitivity (, ) has blowup solutions in the case where . On the other hand, in the case where with , any solution to the system exists globally in time and is bounded. We present a sufficient condition for the boundedness of...
In this review, we first recall a recent Bernoulli decomposition of any given non trivial real random variable. While our main motivation is a proof of universal occurence of Anderson localization in continuum random Schrödinger operators, we review other applications like Sperner theory of antichains, anticoncentration bounds of some functions of random variables, as well as singularity of random matrices.
We present some results concerning the problem , in , , where , , and is a smooth bounded domain containing the origin. In particular, bifurcation and uniqueness results are discussed.
We give a sufficient condition for [μ-M, μ+M] × {0} to be a bifurcation interval of the equation u = L(λu + F(u)), where L is a linear symmetric operator in a Hilbert space, μ ∈ r(L) is of odd multiplicity, and F is a nonlinear operator. This abstract result provides an elementary proof of the existence of bifurcation intervals for some eigenvalue problems with nondifferentiable nonlinearities. All the results obtained may be easily transferred to the case of bifurcation from infinity.
I will start with a short review of the classical restriction theorem for the sphere and Strichartz estimates for the wave equation. I then plan to give a detailed presentation of their recent generalizations in the form of “Bilinear Estimates”. In addition to the theory, which is now quite well developed, I plan to discuss a more general point of view concerning the theory. By investigating simple examples I will derive necessary conditions for such estimates to be true. I also plan to discuss...

We obtain some sufficient conditions under which solutions to a nonlinear parabolic equation of second order with nonlinear boundary conditions tend to zero or blow up in a finite time. We also give the asymptotic behavior of solutions which tend to zero as . Finally, we obtain the asymptotic behavior near the blow-up time of certain blow-up solutions and describe their blow-up set.
We study the blow-up of solutions to the focusing Hartree equation . We use the strategy derived from the almost finite speed of propagation ideas devised by Bourgain (1999) and virial analysis to deduce that the solution with negative energy (E(u₀) < 0) blows up in either finite or infinite time. We also show a result similar to one of Holmer and Roudenko (2010) for the Schrödinger equations using techniques from scattering theory.
We present numerical evidence for the blow-up of solution for the Euler equations. Our approximate solutions are Taylor polynomials in the time variable of an exact solution, and we believe that in terms of the exact solution, the blow-up will be rigorously proved.

We give a new characterisation of Borel summability of formal power series solutions to the n-dimensional heat equation in terms of holomorphic properties of the integral means of the Cauchy data. We also derive the Borel sum for the summable formal solutions.
