Schwinger terms, gerbes, and operator residues
The universe we see gives every sign of being composed of matter. This is considered a major unsolved problem in theoretical physics. Using the mathematical modeling based on the algebra , an interpretation is developed that suggests that this seeable universe is not the whole universe; there is an unseeable part of the universe composed of antimatter galaxies and stuff, and an extra 6 dimensions of space (also unseeable) linking the matter side to the antimatter—at the very least.
A unitary representation of a, possibly infinite dimensional, Lie group is called semibounded if the corresponding operators from the derived representation are uniformly bounded from above on some non-empty open subset of the Lie algebra of . We classify all irreducible semibounded representations of the groups which are double extensions of the twisted loop group , where is a simple Hilbert–Lie group (in the sense that the scalar product on its Lie algebra is invariant) and is...
We describe representations of certain superconformal algebras in the semi-infinite Weil complex related to the loop algebra of a complex finite-dimensional Lie algebra and in the semi-infinite cohomology. We show that in the case where the Lie algebra is endowed with a non-degenerate invariant symmetric bilinear form, the relative semi-infinite cohomology of the loop algebra has a structure, which is analogous to the classical structure of the de Rham cohomology in Kähler...
We study a family of commuting selfadjoint operators , which satisfy, together with the operators of the family , semilinear relations , (, , are fixed Borel functions). The developed technique is used to investigate representations of deformations of the universal enveloping algebra U(so(3)), in particular, of some real forms of the Fairlie algebra .
The goal of our work is to study the spaces of primitive elements of some combinatorial Hopf algebras, whose underlying vector spaces admit linear basis labelled by subsets of the set of maps between finite sets. In order to deal with these objects we introduce the notion of shuffle algebras, which are coloured algebras where composition is not always defined. We define bialgebras in this framework and compute the subpaces of primitive elements associated to them. These spaces of primitive elements...
The geometric small property (Borho-MacPherson [2]) of projective morphisms implies a description of their singularities in terms of intersection homology. In this paper we solve the smallness problem raised by Nakajima [37, 35] for certain resolutions of quiver varieties [37] (analogs of the Springer resolution): for Kirillov-Reshetikhin modules of simply-laced quantum affine algebras, we characterize explicitly the Drinfeld polynomials corresponding to the small resolutions. We use an elimination...
We clarify some aspects of quantum group gauge theory and its recent generalisations (by T. Brzeziński and the author) to braided group gauge theory and coalgebra gauge theory. We outline the diagrammatic version of the braided case. The bosonisation of any braided group provides us a trivial principal bundle in three ways.
The n-dimensional (isotropic and non-isotropic) harmonic oscillator is studied as a Wigner quantum system. In particular, we focus on the energy spectrum of such systems. We show how to solve the compatibility conditions in terms of 𝔬𝔰𝔭(1|2n) generators, and also recall the solution in terms of 𝔤𝔩(1|n) generators. A method is described for determining a spectrum generating function for an element of the Cartan subalgebra when working with a representation of any Lie (super)algebra. Here, the...
