Robust H control of an uncertain system via a stable decentralized output feedback controller

Ian R. Petersen (2009)

Kybernetika

This paper presents a procedure for constructing a stable decentralized output feedback controller for a class of uncertain systems in which the uncertainty is described by Integral Quadratic Constraints. The controller is constructed to solve a problem of robust H control. The proposed procedure involves solving a set of algebraic Riccati equations of the H control type which are dependent on a number of scaling parameters. By treating the off-diagonal elements of the controller transfer function...

Robust observer design for time-delay systems: a Riccati equation approach

Anas Fattouh, Olivier Sename, Jean-Michel Dion (1999)

Kybernetika

In this paper, a method for H observer design for linear systems with multiple delays in state and output variables is proposed. The designing method involves attenuating of the disturbance to a pre-specified level. The observer design requires solving certain algebraic Riccati equation. An example is given in order to illustrate the proposed method.

Robust quasi-LPV model reference FTC of a quadrotor UAV subject to actuator faults

Damiano Rotondo, Fatiha Nejjari, Vicenç Puig (2015)

International Journal of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science

A solution for fault tolerant control (FTC) of a quadrotor unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) is proposed. It relies on model reference-based control, where a reference model generates the desired trajectory. Depending on the type of reference model used for generating the reference trajectory, and on the assumptions about the availability and uncertainty of fault estimation, different error models are obtained. These error models are suitable for passive FTC, active FTC and hybrid FTC, the latter being...

SPR0 substitutions and families of algebraic Riccati equations

G. Fernández-Anaya, J. C. Martínez García, Vladimír Kučera, D. Aguilar George (2006)

Kybernetika

We study in this paper Algebraic Riccati Equations associated with single-input single-output linear time-invariant systems bounded in H -norm. Our study is focused in the characterization of families of Algebraic Riccati Equations in terms of strictly positive real (of zero relative degree) substitutions applied to the associated H -norm bounded system, each substitution characterizing then a particular member of the family. We also consider here Algebraic Riccati Equations associated with systems...

Stability analysis and H control of discrete T-S fuzzy hyperbolic systems

Ruirui Duan, Junmin Li, Yanni Zhang, Ying Yang, Guopei Chen (2016)

International Journal of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science

This paper focuses on the problem of constraint control for a class of discrete-time nonlinear systems. Firstly, a new discrete T-S fuzzy hyperbolic model is proposed to represent a class of discrete-time nonlinear systems. By means of the parallel distributed compensation (PDC) method, a novel asymptotic stabilizing control law with the “soft” constraint property is designed. The main advantage is that the proposed control method may achieve a small control amplitude. Secondly, for an uncertain...

Transformation of optimal control problems of descriptor systems into problems with state-space systems

Jovan Stefanovski (2012)

Kybernetika

We show how we can transform the and 2 control problems of descriptor systems with invariant zeros on the extended imaginary into problems with state-space systems without such zeros. Then we present necessary and sufficient conditions for existence of solutions of the original problems. Numerical algorithm for control is given, based on the Nevanlinna-Pick theorem. Also, we present an explicit formula for the optimal 2 controller.

Weighted mixed-sensitivity minimization for stable distributed parameter plants under sampled data control

Delano R. Carter, Armando A. Rodriguez (1999)

Kybernetika

This paper considers the problem of designing near-optimal finite-dimensional controllers for stable multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) distributed parameter plants under sampled-data control. A weighted -style mixed-sensitivity measure which penalizes the control is used to define the notion of optimality. Controllers are generated by solving a “natural” finite-dimensional sampled-data optimization. A priori computable conditions are given on the approximants such that the resulting finite-...
