In this article we are interested in the existence and uniqueness of solutions for the Dirichlet problem associated with the degenerate nonlinear elliptic equations $$\begin{array}{cc}\hfill \Delta \left(v\left(x\right){\left|\Delta u\right|}^{p-2}\Delta u\right)& -\sum _{j=1}^n{D}_j\left[\omega \left(x\right){𝒜}_j(x,u,\nabla u)\right]\hfill \\ \hfill =& f_0\left(x\right)-\sum _{j=1}^n{D}_j{f}_j\left(x\right),in\Omega \hfill \end{array}$$ in the setting of the weighted Sobolev spaces.

In this paper we study the nonlinear Dirichlet problem involving p(x)-Laplacian (hemivariational inequality) with nonsmooth potential. By using nonsmooth critical point theory for locally Lipschitz functionals due to Chang [6] and the properties of variational Sobolev spaces, we establish conditions which ensure the existence of solution for our problem.

We consider the following Kirchhoff type problem involving a critical nonlinearity: ⎧ $-[a+b({\int }_{\Omega }{\left|\nabla u\right|²dx)}^m{]\Delta u=f(x,u)+|u|}^{2*-2}u$ in Ω, ⎨ ⎩ u = 0 on ∂Ω, where $\Omega \subset {ℝ}^N$ (N ≥ 3) is a smooth bounded domain with smooth boundary ∂Ω, a > 0, b ≥ 0, and 0 < m < 2/(N-2). Under appropriate assumptions on f, we show the existence of a positive ground state solution via the variational method.

We study a general class of nonlinear elliptic problems associated with the differential inclusion $\beta \left(u\right)-div\left(a\right(x,Du)+F(u\left)\right)\ni f$ in Ω where $f\in L^{\infty }\left(\Omega \right)$. The vector field a(·,·) is a Carathéodory function. Using truncation techniques and the generalized monotonicity method in function spaces we prove existence of renormalized solutions for general $L^{\infty }$-data.

In the present paper, we prove existence results of entropy solutions to a class of nonlinear degenerate parabolic $p(·)$-Laplacian problem with Dirichlet-type boundary conditions and $L^1$ data. The main tool used here is the Rothe method combined with the theory of variable exponent Sobolev spaces.
