Nikolova, Yanka, Boyadjiev, Lyubomir (2010)

Fractional Calculus and Applied Analysis

Mathematical Subject Classification 2010: 35R11, 42A38, 26A33, 33E12.The method of integral transforms based on using a fractional generalization of the Fourier transform and the classical Laplace transform is applied for solving Cauchy-type problem for the time-space fractional diffusion equation expressed in terms of the Caputo time-fractional derivative and a generalized Riemann-Liouville space-fractional derivative.

Inverse Fourier transform

Leonede De Michele, Marina Di Natale, Delfina Roux (1990)

Atti della Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei. Classe di Scienze Fisiche, Matematiche e Naturali. Rendiconti Lincei. Matematica e Applicazioni

In this paper a very general method is given in order to reconstruct a periodic function f knowing only an approximation of its Fourier coefficients.

Fitouhi, Ahmed, Bettaibi, Néji, Binous, Wafa (2007)

Fractional Calculus and Applied Analysis

Mathematics Subject Classification: 42A38, 42C40, 33D15, 33D60This paper aims to study the q-wavelets and the continuous q-wavelet transforms, associated with the q-Bessel operator for a fixed q ∈]0, 1[. Using the q-Riemann-Liouville and the q-Weyl transforms, we give some relations between the continuous q-wavelet transform, studied in [3], and the continuous q-wavelet transform associated with the q-Bessel operator, and we deduce formulas which give the inverse operators of the q-Riemann-Liouville and...

Jacobi decomposition of weighted Triebel-Lizorkin and Besov spaces

George Kyriazis, Pencho Petrushev, Yuan Xu (2008)

Studia Mathematica

The Littlewood-Paley theory is extended to weighted spaces of distributions on [-1,1] with Jacobi weights w ( t ) = ( 1 - t ) α ( 1 + t ) β . Almost exponentially localized polynomial elements (needlets) φ ξ , ψ ξ are constructed and, in complete analogy with the classical case on ℝⁿ, it is shown that weighted Triebel-Lizorkin and Besov spaces can be characterized by the size of the needlet coefficients f , φ ξ in respective sequence spaces.

L p -improving properties of certain singular measures on the Heisenberg group

Pablo Rocha (2022)

Mathematica Bohemica

Let μ A be the singular measure on the Heisenberg group n supported on the graph of the quadratic function ϕ ( y ) = y t A y , where A is a 2 n × 2 n real symmetric matrix. If det ( 2 A ± J ) 0 , we prove that the operator of convolution by μ A on the right is bounded from L ( 2 n + 2 ) ( 2 n + 1 ) ( n ) to L 2 n + 2 ( n ) . We also study the type set of the measures d ν γ ( y , s ) = η ( y ) | y | - γ d μ A ( y , s ) , for 0 γ < 2 n , where η is a cut-off function around the origin on 2 n . Moreover, for γ = 0 we characterize the type set of ν 0 .

L p -improving properties of measures of positive energy dimension

Kathryn E. Hare, Maria Roginskaya (2005)

Colloquium Mathematicae

A measure is called L p -improving if it acts by convolution as a bounded operator from L p to L q for some q > p. Positive measures which are L p -improving are known to have positive Hausdorff dimension. We extend this result to complex L p -improving measures and show that even their energy dimension is positive. Measures of positive energy dimension are seen to be the Lipschitz measures and are characterized in terms of their improving behaviour on a subset of L p -functions.

L p - L q estimates for some convolution operators with singular measures on the Heisenberg group

T. Godoy, P. Rocha (2013)

Colloquium Mathematicae

We consider the Heisenberg group ℍⁿ = ℂⁿ × ℝ. Let ν be the Borel measure on ℍⁿ defined by ν ( E ) = χ E ( w , φ ( w ) ) η ( w ) d w , where φ ( w ) = j = 1 n a j | w j | ² , w = (w₁,...,wₙ) ∈ ℂⁿ, a j , and η(w) = η₀(|w|²) with η C c ( ) . We characterize the set of pairs (p,q) such that the convolution operator with ν is L p ( ) - L q ( ) bounded. We also obtain L p -improving properties of measures supported on the graph of the function φ ( w ) = | w | 2 m .

Multi-dimensional Fejér summability and local Hardy spaces

Ferenc Weisz (2009)

Studia Mathematica

It is proved that the multi-dimensional maximal Fejér operator defined in a cone is bounded from the amalgam Hardy space W ( h p , ) to W ( L p , ) . This implies the almost everywhere convergence of the Fejér means in a cone for all f W ( L , ) , which is larger than L ( d ) .
