Some remarks on descriptive characterizations of the strong McShane integral

Sokol Bush Kaliaj (2019)

Mathematica Bohemica

We present the full descriptive characterizations of the strong McShane integral (or the variational McShane integral) of a Banach space valued function f : W X defined on a non-degenerate closed subinterval W of m in terms of strong absolute continuity or, equivalently, in terms of McShane variational measure V F generated by the primitive F : W X of f , where W is the family of all closed non-degenerate subintervals of W .

Some remarks on generalised lush spaces

Jan-David Hardtke (2015)

Studia Mathematica

D. Tan, X. Huang and R. Liu [Studia Math. 219 (2013)] recently introduced the notion of generalised lush (GL) spaces, which, at least for separable spaces, is a generalisation of the concept of lushness introduced by Boyko et al. [Math. Proc. Cambridge Philos. Soc. 142 (2007)]. The main result of D. Tan et al. is that every GL-space has the so called Mazur-Ulam property (MUP). In this note, we prove some further properties of GL-spaces, for example, every M-ideal in a...

Some remarks on Radon-Nikodym compact spaces

Alexander D. Arvanitakis (2002)

Fundamenta Mathematicae

The class of quasi Radon-Nikodým compact spaces is introduced. We prove that this class is closed under countable products and continuous images. It includes the Radon-Nikodým compact spaces. Adapting Alster's proof we show that every quasi Radon-Nikodým and Corson compact space is Eberlein. This generalizes earlier results by J. Orihuela, W. Schachermayer, M. Valdivia and C. Stegall. Further the class of almost totally disconnected spaces is defined and it is shown that every quasi Radon-Nikodým...

Some remarks on the equality W ( E , F * ) = K ( E , F * )

Giovanni Emmanuele (1998)

Archivum Mathematicum

We show that the equality W ( E , F * ) = K ( E , F * ) is a necessary condition for the validity of certain results about isomorphic properties in the projective tensor product E π F of two Banach spaces under some approximation property type assumptions.

Some remarks on the interpolation spaces A θ , A θ

Mohammad Daher (2016)

Commentationes Mathematicae Universitatis Carolinae

Let ( A 0 , A 1 ) be a regular interpolation couple. Under several different assumptions on a fixed A β , we show that A θ = A θ for every θ ( 0 , 1 ) . We also deal with assumptions on A ¯ β , the closure of A β in the dual of ( A 0 * , A 1 * ) β .
