We consider a concave iteration semigroup of linear continuous set-valued functions defined on a closed convex cone in a separable Banach space. We prove that such an iteration semigroup has a selection which is also an iteration semigroup of linear continuous functions. Moreover it is majorized by an "exponential" family of linear continuous set-valued functions.

We study certain symmetries that arise when automorphisms S and T defined on a Lebesgue probability space (X, ℱ, μ) satisfy the equation . The main topic of the paper is the continuity of several kinds of generalized inversion of elements in a Banach algebra with identity. We introduce the notion of asymptotic generalized invertibility and completely characterize sequences of elements with this property. Based on this result, we derive continuity criteria which generalize the well known criteria from operator theory.
