Moltiplicatori spettrali per l'operatore di Ornstein-Uhlenbeck

Giancarlo Mauceri (2004)

Bollettino dell'Unione Matematica Italiana

Moore-Penrose inverses of Gram operators on Hilbert C*-modules

M. S. Moslehian, K. Sharif, M. Forough, M. Chakoshi (2012)

Studia Mathematica

Let t be a regular operator between Hilbert C*-modules and t be its Moore-Penrose inverse. We investigate the Moore-Penrose invertibility of the Gram operator t*t. More precisely, we study some conditions ensuring that t = ( t * t ) t * = t * ( t t * ) and ( t * t ) = t t * . As an application, we get some results for densely defined closed operators on Hilbert C*-modules over C*-algebras of compact operators.

More classes of non-orbit-transitive operators

Carl Pearcy, Lidia Smith (2010)

Studia Mathematica

In [JKP] and its sequel [FPS] the authors initiated a program whose (announced) goal is to eventually show that no operator in ℒ(ℋ) is orbit-transitive. In [JKP] it is shown, for example, that if T ∈ ℒ(ℋ) and the essential (Calkin) norm of T is equal to its essential spectral radius, then no compact perturbation of T is orbit-transitive, and in [FPS] this result is extended to say that no element of this same class of operators is weakly orbit-transitive. In the present note we show that no compact...

Most random walks on nilpotent groups are mixing

R. Rębowski (1992)

Annales Polonici Mathematici

Let G be a second countable locally compact nilpotent group. It is shown that for every norm completely mixing (n.c.m.) random walk μ, αμ + (1-α)ν is n.c.m. for 0 < α ≤ 1, ν ∈ P(G). In particular, a generic stochastic convolution operator on G is n.c.m.

Multidimensional weak resolvents and spatial equivalence of normal operators

Michał Jasiczak (2006)

Studia Mathematica

The aim of this paper is to answer some questions concerning weak resolvents. Firstly, we investigate the domain of extension of weak resolvents Ω and find a formula linking Ω with the Taylor spectrum. We also show that equality of weak resolvents of operator tuples A and B results in isomorphism of the algebras generated by these operators. Although this isomorphism need not be of the form (1) X ↦ U*XU, where U is an isometry, for normal operators it is always possible...

Multilinear commutators for fractional integrals in non-homogeneous spaces.

Guoen Hu, Yan Meng, Dachung Yang (2004)

Publicacions Matemàtiques

Under the assumption that m is a non-doubling measure on Rd, the authors obtain the (Lp,Lq)-boundedness and the weak type endpoint estimate for the multilinear commutators generated by fractional integrals with RBMO (m) functions of Tolsa or with Osc exp Lr(m) functions for r greater than or equal to 1, where Osc exp Lr(m) is a space of Orlicz type satisfying that Osc exp Lr(m)=RBMO(m) if r=1 and Osc exp Lr(m) is a subset of RBMO(m) if r>1.
