Spinors in braided geometry

Mićo Đurđević, Zbigniew Oziewicz (1996)

Banach Center Publications

Let V be a ℂ-space, σ E n d ( V 2 ) be a pre-braid operator and let F l i n ( V 2 , ) . This paper offers a sufficient condition on (σ,F) that there exists a Clifford algebra Cl(V,σ,F) as the Chevalley F-dependent deformation of an exterior algebra C l ( V , σ , 0 ) V ( σ ) . If σ σ - 1 and F is non-degenerate then F is not a σ-morphism in σ-braided monoidal category. A spinor representation as a left Cl(V,σ,F)-module is identified with an exterior algebra over F-isotropic ℂ-subspace of V. We give a sufficient condition on braid σ that the spinor representation...

Stable blow up dynamics for the critical co-rotational Wave Maps and equivariant Yang-Mills Problems

Pierre Raphaël, Igor Rodnianski (2008/2009)

Séminaire Équations aux dérivées partielles

This note summarizes the results obtained in [30]. We exhibit stable finite time blow up regimes for the energy critical co-rotational Wave Map with the 𝕊 2 target in all homotopy classes and for the equivariant critical S O ( 4 ) Yang-Mills problem. We derive sharp asymptotics on the dynamics at blow up time and prove quantization of the energy focused at the singularity.

Super boson-fermion correspondence

Victor G. Kac, J. W. Van de Leur (1987)

Annales de l'institut Fourier

We establish a super boson-fermion correspondence, generalizing the classical boson-fermion correspondence in 2-dimensional quantum field theory. A new feature of the theory is the essential non-commutativity of bosonic fields. The superbosonic fields obtained by the super bosonization procedure from super fermionic fields form the affine superalgebra g ˜ l 1 | 1 . The converse, super fermionization procedure, requires introduction of the super vertex operators. As applications, we give vertex operator constructions...

Supersymmetry and Ghosts in Quantum Mechanics

Robert, Didier (2008)

Serdica Mathematical Journal

2000 Mathematics Subject Classification: 81Q60, 35Q40.A standard supersymmetric quantum system is defined by a Hamiltonian [^H] = ½([^Q]*[^Q] +[^Q][^Q]*), where the super-charge [^Q] satisfies [^Q]2 = 0, [^Q] commutes with [^H]. So we have [^H] ≥ 0 and the quantum spectrum of [^H] is non negative. On the other hand Pais-Ulhenbeck proposed in 1950 a model in quantum-field theory where the d'Alembert operator [¯] = [(∂2)/( ∂t2)] − Δx is replaced by fourth order operator [¯]([¯] + m2), in order to...

Supersymmetry, Witten complex and asymptotics for directional Lyapunov exponents in 𝐙 d

Wei-Min Wang (1999)

Journées équations aux dérivées partielles

By using a supersymmetric gaussian representation, we transform the averaged Green's function for random walks in random potentials into a 2-point correlation function of a corresponding lattice field theory. We study the resulting lattice field theory using the Witten laplacian formulation. We obtain the asymptotics for the directional Lyapunov exponents.
