Biliaisons élémentaires en codimension 2

Mireille Martin-Deschamps (2006)

Binomial residues

Eduardo Cattani, Alicia Dickenstein, Bernd Sturmfels (2002)

Annales de l’institut Fourier

A binomial residue is a rational function defined by a hypergeometric integral whose kernel is singular along binomial divisors. Binomial residues provide an integral representation for rational solutions of A -hypergeometric systems of Lawrence type. The space of binomial residues of a given degree, modulo those which are polynomial in some variable, has dimension equal to the Euler characteristic of the matroid associated with A .

Boundedness for threefolds in P6 containing a smooth ruled surface as hyperplane section.

Pietro Sabatino (2005)

Revista Matemática Complutense

Let X ⊂ P6 be a smooth irreducible projective threefold, and d its degree. In this paper we prove that there exists a constant β such that for all X containing a smooth ruled surface as hyperplane section and not contained in a fourfold of degree less than or equal to 15, d ≤ β. Under some more restrictive hypothesis we prove an analogous result for threefolds containing a smooth ruled surface as hyperplane section and contained in a fourfold of degree less than or equal to 15.

Bounds on Castelnuovo-Mumford regularity for divisors on rational normal scrolls.

Chikashi Miyazaki (2005)

Collectanea Mathematica

The Castelnuovo-Mumford regularity is one of the most important invariants in studying the minimal free resolution of the defining ideals of the projective varieties. There are some bounds on the Castelnuovo-Mumford regularity of the projective variety in terms of the other basic invariants such as dimension, codimension and degree. This paper studies a bound on the regularity conjectured by Hoa, and shows this bound and extremal examples in the case of divisors on rational normal scrolls.

Calabi flow on toric varieties with bounded Sobolev constant, I

Hongnian Huang (2016)

Complex Manifolds

Let (X, P) be a toric variety. In this note, we show that the C0-norm of the Calabi flow φ(t) on X is uniformly bounded in [0, T) if the Sobolev constant of φ(t) is uniformly bounded in [0, T). We also show that if (X, P) is uniform K-stable, then the modified Calabi flow converges exponentially fast to an extremal Kähler metric if the Ricci curvature and the Sobolev constant are uniformly bounded. At last, we discuss an extension of our results to a quasi-proper Kähler manifold.
