On strongly generalized preinvex functions.
Motivated by the study of multidimensional control problems of Dieudonné-Rashevsky type, we raise the question how to understand to notion of quasiconvexity for a continuous function f with a convex body K instead of the whole space as the range of definition. In the present paper, we trace the consequences of an infinite extension of f outside K, and thus study quasiconvex functions which are allowed to take the value +∞. As an appropriate envelope, we introduce and investigate the lower semicontinuous...
We characterize sets of non-differentiability points of convex functions on . This completes (in ) the result by Zajíček [2] which gives a characterization of the magnitude of these sets.
Let X be a normed space. A set A ⊆ X is approximately convexif d(ta+(1-t)b,A)≤1 for all a,b ∈ A and t ∈ [0,1]. We prove that every n-dimensional normed space contains approximately convex sets A with and , where ℋ denotes the Hausdorff distance. These estimates are reasonably sharp. For every D>0, we construct worst possible approximately convex sets in C[0,1] such that ℋ(A,Co(A))=(A)=D. Several results pertaining to the Hyers-Ulam stability theorem are also proved.
We extend the open mapping theorem and inversion theorem of Robinson for convex multivalued mappings to γ-paraconvex multivalued mappings. Some questions posed by Rolewicz are also investigated. Our results are applied to obtain a generalization of the Farkas lemma for γ-paraconvex multivalued mappings.
We introduce a notion of a product and projective limit of function spaces. We show that the Choquet boundary of the product space is the product of Choquet boundaries. Next we show that the product of simplicial spaces is simplicial. We also show that the maximal measures on the product space are exactly those with maximal projections. We show similar characterizations of the Choquet boundary and the space of maximal measures for the projective limit of function spaces under some additional assumptions...
We prove a general relaxation theorem for multidimensional control problems of Dieudonné-Rashevsky type with nonconvex integrands f(t, ξ, v) in presence of a convex control restriction. The relaxed problem, wherein the integrand f has been replaced by its lower semicontinuous quasiconvex envelope with respect to the gradient variable, possesses the same finite minimal value as the original problem, and admits a global minimizer. As an application, we provide existence theorems for the image registration...

We discuss differentiability properties of convex functions on Heisenberg groups. We show that the notions of horizontal convexity (h-convexity) and viscosity convexity (v-convexity) are equivalent and that h-convex functions are locally Lipschitz continuous. Finally we exhibit Weierstrass-type h-convex functions which are nowhere differentiable in the vertical direction on a dense set or on a Cantor set of vertical lines.
