Integrable analytic vector fields with a nilpotent linear part

Xianghong Gong (1995)

Annales de l'institut Fourier

We study the normalization of analytic vector fields with a nilpotent linear part. We prove that such an analytic vector field can be transformed into a certain form by convergent transformations when it has a non-singular formal integral. We then prove that there are smoothly linearizable parabolic analytic transformations which cannot be embedded into the flows of any analytic vector fields with a nilpotent linear part.

Local dynamics of holomorphic diffeomorphisms

Filippo Bracci (2004)

Bollettino dell'Unione Matematica Italiana

This is a survey about local holomorphic dynamics, from Poincaré's times to nowadays. Some new ideas on how to relate discrete dynamics to continuous dynamics are also introduced. It is the text of the talk given by the author at the XVII UMI Congress at Milano.

Minimal, rigid foliations by curves on n

Frank Loray, Julio C. Rebelo (2003)

Journal of the European Mathematical Society

We prove the existence of minimal and rigid singular holomorphic foliations by curves on the projective space n for every dimension n 2 and every degree d 2 . Precisely, we construct a foliation which is induced by a homogeneous vector field of degree d , has a finite singular set and all the regular leaves are dense in the whole of n . Moreover, satisfies many additional properties expected from chaotic dynamics and is rigid in the following sense: if is conjugate to another holomorphic foliation...

Modulus of analytic classification for the generic unfolding of a codimension 1 resonant diffeomorphism or resonant saddle

Christiane Rousseau, Colin Christopher (2007)

Annales de l’institut Fourier

We consider germs of one-parameter generic families of resonant analytic diffeomorphims and we give a complete modulus of analytic classification by means of the unfolding of the Écalle modulus. We describe the parametric resurgence phenomenon. We apply this to give a complete modulus of orbital analytic classification for the unfolding of a generic resonant saddle of a 2-dimensional vector field by means of the unfolding of its holonomy map. Here again the modulus is an unfolding of the Martinet-Ramis...

Monodromy and topological classification of germs of holomorphic foliations

David Marín, Jean-François Mattei (2012)

Annales scientifiques de l'École Normale Supérieure

We give a complete topological classification of germs of holomorphic foliations in the plane under rather generic conditions. The key point is the introduction of a new topological invariant called monodromy representation. This monodromy contains all the relevant dynamical information, in particular the projective holonomy representations whose topological invariance was conjectured in the eighties by Cerveau and Sad and is proved here under mild hypotheses.

On Fatou-Julia decompositions

Taro Asuke (2013)

Annales de la faculté des sciences de Toulouse Mathématiques

We propose a Fatou-Julia decomposition for holomorphic pseudosemigroups. It will be shown that the limit sets of finitely generated Kleinian groups, the Julia sets of mapping iterations and Julia sets of complex codimension-one regular foliations can be seen as particular cases of the decomposition. The decomposition is applied in order to introduce a Fatou-Julia decomposition for singular holomorphic foliations. In the well-studied cases, the decomposition behaves as expected.

On the real secondary classes of transversely holomorphic foliations

Taro Asuke (2000)

Annales de l'institut Fourier

In this paper we study the real secondary classes of transversely holomorphic foliations. We define a homomorphism from the space H * ( WO 2 q ) of the real secondary classes to the space H * ( WU q ) of the complex secondary classes that corresponds to forgetting the transverse holomorphic structure. By using this homomorphism we show, for example, the decomposition of the Godbillon-Vey class into the imaginary part of the Bott class and the first Chern class of the complex normal bundle of the foliation. We show also...

On transcendental automorphisms of algebraic foliations

B. Scárdua (2003)

Fundamenta Mathematicae

We study the group Aut(ℱ) of (self) isomorphisms of a holomorphic foliation ℱ with singularities on a complex manifold. We prove, for instance, that for a polynomial foliation on ℂ² this group consists of algebraic elements provided that the line at infinity ℂP(2)∖ℂ² is not invariant under the foliation. If in addition ℱ is of general type (cf. [20]) then Aut(ℱ) is finite. For a foliation with hyperbolic singularities at infinity, if there is a transcendental automorphism then the foliation is either...

On vector fields in C3 without a separatrix.

J. Olivares-Vázquez (1992)

Revista Matemática de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid

A family of germs at 0 of holomorphic vector fields in C3 without separatrices is constructed, with the aid of the blown-up foliation F in the blown-up manifold C3. We impose conditions on the multiplicity and the linear part of F at its singular points (i.e., non-semisimplicity and certain nonresonancy), which are sufficient for the original vector field to be separatrix-free.
