The asymptotic behaviour of a Sturm-Liouville differential equation with coefficient is investigated, where and is a nondecreasing step function tending to as . Let denote the set of those ’s for which the corresponding differential equation has a solution not tending to 0. It is proved that is an additive group. Four examples are given with , , (i.e. the set of dyadic numbers), and .
In this paper we give a summary of joint work with Alexa van der Waall concerning Lamé equations having finite monodromy. This research is the subject of van der Waall's Ph. D. thesis [W].
We give a proof of the fact that any holomorphic Pfaffian form in two variables has a convergent integral curve. The proof gives an effective method to construct the solution, and we extend it to get a Gevrey type solution for a Gevrey form.
Associated to analytic Hamiltonian vector fields in having an equilibrium point satisfying a non semisimple resonance, we construct two constants that are invariant with respect to local analytic symplectic changes of coordinates. These invariants vanish when the Hamiltonian is integrable. We also prove that one of these invariants does not vanish on an open and dense set.
This paper is concerned with a second-order functional differential equation of the form with the distinctive feature that the argument of the unknown function depends on the state derivative. An existence theorem is established for analytic solutions and systematic methods for deriving explicit solutions are also given.
Un algorithme est présenté pour calculer en toute généralité le « réseau de Levelt » pour un réseau donné.
This is an expository article, based on the talk with the same title, given at the 2011 FASDE II Conference in Będlewo, Poland. In the introduction we define Multiple Zeta Values and certain historical remarks are given. Then we present several results on Multiple Zeta Values and, in particular, we introduce certain meromorphic differential equations associated to their generating function. Finally, we make some conclusive remarks on generalisations of Multiple Zeta Values as well as the meromorphic...
