A Corson compact L-space from a Suslin tree

Peter Nyikos (2015)

Colloquium Mathematicae

The completion of a Suslin tree is shown to be a consistent example of a Corson compact L-space when endowed with the coarse wedge topology. The example has the further properties of being zero-dimensional and monotonically normal.

A finite dimensional reduction of the Schauder Conjecture

Espedito De Pascale (1993)

Commentationes Mathematicae Universitatis Carolinae

Schauder’s Conjecture (i.eėvery compact convex set in a Hausdorff topological vector space has the f.p.p.) is reduced to the search for fixed points of suitable multivalued maps in finite dimensional spaces.
