Journal of the European Mathematical Society

Let ( X , ω ) be a compact Kähler manifold. We obtain uniform Hölder regularity for solutions to the complex Monge-Ampère equation on X with L p right hand side, p > 1 . The same regularity is furthermore proved on the ample locus in any big cohomology class. We also study the range ( X , ω ) of the complex Monge-Ampère operator acting on ω -plurisubharmonic Hölder continuous functions. We show that this set is convex, by sharpening Kołodziej’s result that measures with L p -density belong to ( X , ω ) and proving that ( X , ω ) has the...

Hölder equivalence of the value function for control-affine systems

Dario Prandi (2014)

ESAIM: Control, Optimisation and Calculus of Variations

We prove the continuity and the Hölder equivalence w.r.t. an Euclidean distance of the value function associated with the L1 cost of the control-affine system q̇ = f0(q) + ∑j=1m ujfj(q), satisfying the strong Hörmander condition. This is done by proving a result in the same spirit as the Ball–Box theorem for driftless (or sub-Riemannian) systems. The techniques used are based on a reduction of the control-affine system to a linear but time-dependent one, for which we are able to define a generalization...

Holomorphic Cartan geometries and rational curves

Indranil Biswas, Benjamin McKay (2016)

Complex Manifolds

We prove that any compact Kähler manifold bearing a holomorphic Cartan geometry contains a rational curve just when the Cartan geometry is inherited from a holomorphic Cartan geometry on a lower dimensional compact Kähler manifold. This shows that many complex manifolds admit no or few holomorphic Cartan geometries.

Holomorphic retractions and boundary Berezin transforms

Jonathan Arazy, Miroslav Engliš, Wilhelm Kaup (2009)

Annales de l’institut Fourier

In an earlier paper, the first two authors have shown that the convolution of a function f continuous on the closure of a Cartan domain and a K -invariant finite measure μ on that domain is again continuous on the closure, and, moreover, its restriction to any boundary face F depends only on the restriction of f to F and is equal to the convolution, in  F , of the latter restriction with some measure μ F on F uniquely determined by  μ . In this article, we give an explicit formula for μ F in terms of  F ,...
